Job Title: Senior Accountant

Schedule:  Mondays to  Fridays; 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time

Salary: $1,000-$1,600/month

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and help manage our monthly bank reconciliations, recording expense accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and other accounting and bookkeeping tasks such as bills, invoices, receipts, assisting in payroll and customer support. The ideal candidate must be proficient in English (speech & writing).

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Booking Journal Entries for bank activity
• Communicating with the operations team to resolve any discrepancies in the bank activity
• Booking intercompany entries between different entities
• Recording expense accruals
• State sales tax returns and filings (monthly/quarterly)
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Other accounting tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar field, CPA is preferred.
• Proven years of related experience, at least 5+ year in the Accounting field
• Working knowledge and experience with Google Workspace especially with Excel Sheets and Google Sheets (Vlookups, Pivot Tables)  is a must
• Working knowledge and experience using ERP Systems is a must
• Working knowledge with Microsoft Business Central (this is similar to Dynamics) is highly preferable but not required as long as they have the ability to understand accounting systems
• Proficiency in English language (speech & writing) is a must
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong time management and organizational skills

The Junior Reinsurance Accountant will assume responsibility for supporting the Operations department.

• Triaging of Operations inbox
• Chasing of QS bordereaux accounts
• Chasing of accounts receivable
• Allocation of cash receipts. Liaising with brokers on missing cash information
• Liaise with brokers and underwriters regarding queries, outstanding receivables and premium adjustments
• Other projects and/or tasks as required including helping with implementation of workflow
