YOUR ROLE AS AN ACCOUNTANT

The Accountant will be working with a Singapore-based client.

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Handle full set of Accounts for a group of companies
• Manage day-to-day accounts; update daily bank transactions in the accounting system
• Prepare monthly inter-company settlement/reconciliation
• Handle petty cash and update daily transactions in the cashbook
• Perform bank reconciliation, collection, and credit control

Your job duties will include 

1. Accounts Payable  

• Manage complete and timely processing of payment requests. Send remittance notices to vendors. 
• Creates Purchase Orders. Records  all  payment requests and expense claims and upload payment batch requests.  Ensures all payments  processed are in accordance to company’s latest policy and internal controls guidelines. 
• Maintains appropriate recording of payables and completeness of required documentation support of each  vendor contacts. 
• Review of travel and non-travel reimbursements and ensures completeness of documentation support. Ensures bills payment &  client reimbursement invoices are processed in accordance with latest guidelines and contracts. 
• Attend to vendor/contractor inquiries, facilitate issue resolution and account reconciliation with vendor-related accounts. 

1. Intercompany Transactions 

• Reviews correctness of  all intercompany transactions and ensures intercompany invoice/charges are in accordance to latest intercompany agreements. 
• Monitors timely renewal and execution of intercompany agreements. 

1. Bank Reconciliation 

• Reconciles  all banks and credit card transactions on a daily basis and ensures completeness of receipts supporting each transactions.  

1. Financial Reporting 

• Ensures  on-time completion of month-end close financial tasks as assigned. 
• Conducts monthly accounts review and effect proper cost allocations of each bills. 
• Collates foreign tax certificates withheld and timely update of foreign tax credit schedule.

Shift assignment: Night Shift

We are looking for a dynamic and engaging Senior Accountant for an opportunity to join an industry-leading Property & Casualty insurance carrier focused on partnering with Reinsurers, MGAs/Program Administrators, and Insurtechs.

We provide access to commercial and personal lines utilizing our admitted and non-admitted capabilities across all 50 states. You would join a deeply experienced and broadly talented operating team where your experience and drive will become instrumental in further growing our business.

In addition to the day-to-day coordination of activities related to internal and external functions supporting the finance department this position is also responsible for but are not limited to the following:

The Senior Accountant will perform all aspects of reinsurance accounting.

• Payments of deposit premium for XOL treaties
• Quarterly financial ceded premium on XOL treaties - GNWP & GNEP Basis
• XOL treaty True-up calculations
• GL reconciliation - (Premiums Payable XOL) for quarterly close including commentary and each treaty reviewed quarterly

The Reinsurance Accountant will assume responsibility all aspects of accounting for assigned reinsurance contracts. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Verification of underwriting data for quota share and/or excess of loss contracts
• Maintain the accuracy of premium information on excess of loss contracts including endorsements, premium adjustments, and cash allocations
• Maintain all aspects of quota share programs including bordereau reporting and posting, claims payments and cash allocation

This role is pivotal in maintaining service fee payments up to date, bank accounts reconciled, recoveries and escrow processed. As a Claims Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including general accounting tasks such as accounting reports, journal entries, and reconciliations. This role is set within the industry and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.

• Process service fee rates update and service fee payment. 
• Prepares accounting reports for various accounting divisions in Arch.
• Prepare reclass journals entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations to verify the Third-Party Administrator’s bank balance against Arch balance.
• Process recoveries and escrows ensuring activities are completed within the set timeframe.

The Sr. Accountant will prepare workpapers, journal entries, and reconciliations for selected programs. The senior accountant will have ownership over the economics for their select programs ensuring accuracy.

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

The Sr. Financial Accountant will be the key figure responsible for the financial operations of our client’s e-commerce businesses. Your Responsibilities

•  Review cash transactions running through Netsuite’s cash application module for Babylist, Inc. and our subsidiaries.
• Record cash transactions not captured through Netsuite’s cash application module, assigning coding as necessary and resolving open coding questions.
• Perform monthly cash account reconciliations between Netsuite and our bank, ensuring that reconciling items are identified, followed up on and resolved on a timely basis.

Credit Card Transactions

• Record Amex/ Brex credit card transactions.
• Reconcile Amex/ Brex credit card payables.  Identify and resolve any reconciling items on a timely basis.
•  Accrue for credit card rebates as necessary.  Track and report on available rebate

Receivables

• Assist in reconciling receivables for our durable medical equipment company, including matching funds received against outstanding customer/ insurance receivables.

Prepaids                                                                                                        

• Ensure that prepaid is set up appropriately by reviewing invoices, and ensuring that prepaid is set up in FloQast using the appropriate amortization period, account, and amortization account destination. 
• Reconcile prepaid accounts to the general ledger every month.  Identify and resolve any reconciling items on a timely basis.

Fixed and Intangible Assets

• Reconcile intangible asset/ accumulated amortization accounts every month, ensuring the sub-ledger agrees to Netsuite.
• Assist in Fixed Asset projects as necessary.

General Tasks 

• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status

The Senior Accountant prepares, and processes assigned journal entries in a timely accurate manner throughout the month.  Journal entries include, standard recurring, accruals (payroll, bonus, utilities, open PO’s, etc.), prepaids and amortization, and nonstandard or one-time journal entries. The month-end duties include completing account reconciliations, variance analysis, identifying and resolving discrepancies, elevating items to proper channels for resolution.  This person will assist with daily activities involving working capital including AR, AP, and Inventory.  They will participate in various other accounting activities as needed to support the finance/accounting functions.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Completion of monthly journal entries for specific entities in accordance with US GAAP and to ensure month-end close is completed on schedule.
• Timely completion of assigned account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and/or escalating as needed for resolution.
• Prepare supplemental spreadsheets that support month-end close.
• Perform a variance analysis of actual results against budget and forecasts, as well as prior year results.
• Potential involvement in daily receipts and disbursements specific to regional responsibilities
• Manage fixed assets and capital additions/disposals/depreciation to ensure compliance with company policies
• Assist with any governmental reporting requirements (i.e. census reports)
• Verify compliance with sales and use taxes from sales and remit them to their proper agencies.
• Assist in setup of inventory balances and responsible for overseeing the physical inventory process as well as performing cycle counts on a periodic basis.
• Review and analyze daily and monthly inventory reports for any possible issues which could impact plant manufacturing or accounting results
• Provide support for reporting and internal control activities to ensure integrity of financial statements.
• Prepare supporting schedules for annual financial, tax, and bank audits as requested
• Back-up Accounting Specialists as needed
• Continuously look for process improvement opportunities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of ideally Construction or Real Estate cost/project accounting experience
• Knowledge of US GAAP accounting practices
• Proficiency with Office 365/MS Suite Applications
• SAGE and Acumatica a plus (willing to provide training with Acumatica/SAGE experience is preferred).
• Previous sales tax experience and manufacturing/construction accounting experience preferred but not required
