Summary:

• Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
• Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Accepting payments for delivered items.
• Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.

• Ensure timely conveyance of staff and/or clients, even equipment and materials to and from places (offices, airports etc.) as instructed guaranteeing their protection and security.
• Use available technology to plot routes so that timely deliveries or transfers can be made.
• Ensure that company vehicles are kept perfect and clean at all times. Carry out routine checks and ensure both general and preventive maintenance measures are performed on all vehicles timely.
• Keep up a travel log to record passengers, areas travelled to, travel time, and work hours.
• Precisely finish all paper work connected with your duties (trip tickets, expense reports etc.)
• Report any case of accident, injury or damage of vehicles to supervisor/manager as it happens
• Perform some other undertakings like dropping and picking supplies, documents etc. from one site to the other, as well as running errands.
• Dress professionally and in accordance with company’s dress code.
• Answer clients’ inquiries as brilliantly as could be allowed, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.

The incumbent serves as the EDC driver responsible for the safe transport of project staff and ensuring the vehicles are properly maintained and in good condition. The person in this position requires familiarity with practices and procedures, must be able to perform the full scope of tasks with a minimum of supervisory guidance. Ability to exercise judgment and apply pertinent regulations. This position reports to the Admin/Operations Officer. The Davao Hub covers operations in Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Cotabato, Iligan, and General Santos Cities. This position is located in Davao City.

Essential functions include:

• Safely transport EDC staff and visitors.
• Perform daily inspection of the vehicle, alert supervisor of any maintenance issues.
• Keep the vehicle clean, in serviceable condition and perform minor preventative maintenance.
• Maintain and update daily vehicle/passenger log.
• Properly record gasoline consumption.
• Assure that the vehicle is equipped with the proper equipment (first aid kit and other safety tools and devices).
• Assure accidents are reported to supervisor in compliance with the EDC policies and procedures and applicable local laws. 
• Plan travel routes and requirements by studying schedules and requests. 
• Pick up and deliver mail and other materials, bank, and other errands as necessary. 
• Assist the project staff in the delivery of O2 supplies and goods to/from the venues. 
• Assist the Admin/Operations Officer during staff travel, workshops, meetings, and other project activities. 
• When not performing driver’s functions, assist in photocopying, scanning, binding, or other entry-level clerical tasks. 
• Coordinate with the Admin/Operations Officer on driving services and other miscellaneous tasks; and 
• Performs other related tasks as required by the Admin/Operations Officer.

Based in Davao City with travel to all project sites
