Perform all cash related aspects of facultative assumed & ceded accounting including cash entry, cash application, cash reconciliation, and assist with collections.

• Enter daily cash receipts and disbursements in the reinsurance system
• Apply cash receipts and disbursements
• Assist in collecting overdue account receivable/payable balances
• Research, document, and resolve unapplied cash issues
• Work closely with other Reinsurance Accounting team members to resolve cash discrepancies
• Prepare monthly cash reconciliation
• Prepare monthly billing statements
• Review and post bound XOL contracts in the reinsurance system
• Ensure effective SOX controls are maintained and followed
• Ad hoc related tasks as needed or other duties as required to support the team

The Catastrophe Modeling Analyst – Junior is responsible for quantifying the catastrophe risk on inward reinsurance contracts of Arch Re. Major tasks will include analyzing catastrophe modeling data from insurance clients in third party software, researching catastrophe risk, and creating reports related to the company’s risk exposure.

• Leverage third-party catastrophe models to obtain estimates of catastrophe risk of Arch Re's cedents.
• Justify and explain the cat model outputs and ensure that they are reasonable and correct.
• Generate other reports to give a complete picture of the cedents' catastrophe exposure.
• Handle independently the cat pricing for simple reinsurance submissions.
• Handle with minimal supervision the cat pricing for more complex reinsurance submissions.
