PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The R2R Analyst is responsible for providing business unit general accounting and internal control support, including preparation and posting of journal entries, maintenance of balance sheet accounts, completion of the month end closing transactions/procedures and ensuring that the general ledger account balances and trial balances are appropriately reconciled.

She/he is responsible for completeness, accuracy and timeliness of operations in the general ledger, inventory, fixed asset and intercompany accounts, as well as treasury transactions and bank reconciliations.

Moreover, he/she takes part in accounts’ analysis and supports senior colleagues in carrying out responsibilities of the accounting department, contacts client in ordnd er to resolve accounting queries and cooperates with auditors.

He/she follows Desktop Procedures and adequate policies and guidelines in place and seeks for improvements.

Performance should meet the requirements defined in the SLA/KPI’s applicable for the role.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation and posting of journal entries (including mass allocation) for the designated SGS Affiliates
• Managing bank statements and related GL reconciliations
• Maintaining Inventory and Fixed Asset modules and related entries in these accounts
• Performing postings/analysis/reconciliations on intercompany transactions and related supporting documentation
• Cost allocation
• Performing regular analyses of the account variances
• Performing additional tasks on request of senior colleagues
• Complying with Month End closing requirements and deadlines
• Ensuring there are no outstanding transactions that are not completed before closing
• Ensuring monthly checklists are completed without exception
• Preparation of periodic and ad hoc reports as requested by management
• Following adequate rules, policies, procedures and instructions

• Timely and accurate review, validation and processing of incoming invoices (e.g. PO, Non-PO, credit card statements) to accounting system.

• Ensuring that invoices are properly coded and booked in accordance to SGS Chart of Accounts.

• Verifying that the invoices comply with SGS policies and procedures.

• Auditing travel and expense liquidation in accordance with existing rules and regulations.

• Processing prepayments and follow up on prepaid invoices 

• Handling statements and vendor inquiries

• Assisting in AP Subledger close and other month end activities

Ensure monthly checklists are completed by the month end and signed off by Senior Accountant.

Perform various tasks within Bill to Cash (B2C) stream such as daily cash application, processing of AR interface lines, and other day-to-day operational activities. B2C Analyst will also be involved in performing month-end closing activities. The performance should meet the requirements defined in the SLA/KPI’s.

Specific Responsibilities
 Book and allocate payments received from clients.
 Monitor and coordinate with Collections Team on unapplied and unidentified payments.
 Assist with revenue downloading and reconciliation with invoicing system.
 Process Accounts Receivable (AR) interface lines to Oracle.
 Correct treatment of Cash on Delivery (COD) accounts.
 Ensure credit notes and invoices are properly offset, as needed.
 Respond to inquiries from business / customers and resolve issues.
 Perform AR reconciliations.
 Assist with AR sub-ledger close process and other month-end activities (Bad debt
provision, Unbilled Revenue (UBR) and Work-in-Progress (WIP) accruals)
 Ensure monthly checklists are completed by the month end and signed off by B2C
 Specialist/B2C Supervisor.
 Ensure that monthly KPIs are met.

Working within the Corporate Compliance team, the KYC analyst will be supporting with the compliance activities with a strong focus on Know Your Customer (KYC) and due diligences. • The Analyst, Global HR Technology Solutions (Workday) will be a key contributor, starting with implementation and transitioning into steady-state operations.
• Leverage deep expertise in Workday configuration to deliver solutions in one or more functional areas of HR, creating operational efficiency and delightful employee experiences.

Specific Responsibilities   

• The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the Workday platform.
• During implementation, s/he will partner with our global implementation team of both SGS and third party stakeholders in executing technical activities for the successful deployment of Workday worldwide.
• As we transition to post go-live operations, accountabilities will include:
  • Responsible for research, prototype development, testing, peer review, migration and deployment of functional configurations in Workday along with the necessary documentation.
  • Delivers new requirements and continuous improvement of system configuration and user experience following an Agile Methodology.
  • Acts as an escalation point and works towards resolution of defects in configuration and while doing so trains junior team members to minimize escalated cases.
  • Applies best-practice methodologies to sustain delivery of Workday solutions to internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for executing release related activities as assigned by leader.

• The Tier 2 Analyst, HR Technology (Workday) will be a key contributor, starting with implementation and transitioning into steady-state operations.
• The successful candidate will play a utility role on the functional HR team implementing Workday (HCM, Talent Optimization, Compensation, Absence, Reporting & Analytics).
•  S/he will partner with our global implementation team of both SGS and third-party stakeholders to support the design, configuration, testing and deployment of Workday.

Specific Responsibilities  

• As we transition to post go-live operations, all of the experience and learning done through implementation will prepare the successful candidate to deliver Tier 2 Workday services to SGS. Accountabilities will include: Handles support escalations from Tier 1 (local/regional super users). Manages incidents to ensure excellent customer service and quality incident management data for continuous improvement.
• Supports functional analysts with Workday configuration, testing and reporting.
• Supports Workday Services leader with maintenance of documentation and continuous improvement of services.

• Ensures correct and timely Certificate of Conformity (CoC) issuance in relation to the productivity and quality targets of the Certification Center.
• Assess product and/or exporter risk levels, identification of product essential requirements and applicable standards following the Business Rules on conformity assessment, import eligibility and process flows, Conformity Assessment Instructions (CAIs), and other related references.
• Provides quality and technically based opinion on product standards and certification.
• Assists in the resolution of standards and certification cases and other requests and or inquiries by utilization of technical expertise on specific goods or commodity.

• Provides applicable product standards on the Report based on the Business Rules, using the SGS proprietary processing software- eTrade and other similar or related references

• Formulates Product Instructions based on product safety and performance standards

• Escalate cases of non-response status or high-risk disputes to Supervisor or Management.
• Prepares the PCA Position Paper to present the detailed basis for Standard selection and other evaluation activities.

• Assist in the maintenance of the Company Quality Management System and the Certification Center’s compliance to the TIC-CBCA Code of Practice and relevant standards (e.g. ISO 17020, ISO 17065)

· Ensure correct and timely issuance of the report to be used by the importer in releasing the goods at Customs to facilitate trade transaction.

· Assess product and/or exporter risk levels, identification of product essential requirements and following the Business Rules on Import Verification Program (IVP), Harmonized System (HS) classification, import eligibility, country instructions and other related references.

· Provide technically appropriate product classification following the HS code system by using all available references submitted by the parties involved.

· Evaluate transactions and provides valuation opinion based on valuation methodologies to confirm the correctness of prices being declared by the trade parties.

· Assist in providing reports that shall be used at the country of destination.

· Liaise with Trade, Valuation, and Inspection Centres to get additional information required during processing of files.

Responsibilities / Tasks

• Manages the daily billing processes for spare parts and service projects within NAM service.
• Responds to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner on billing questions (email, phone, portal, etc.)
• Efficiently creates (within SAP or MS Axapta), audits, and transmits invoices via mail, email, or customer portals.
• Manages customer information and company information related to online portals and ERP customer account set up (billing addresses, terms, etc.)
• Interface with Customer Service Representation (CSRs) to correct and/or address any sales order related billing errors to ensure prompt payment to GEA upon delivery of the invoice.
• Communicates with customers on any billing related needs for their accounts.
• Works with other departments (Collections, Sales, Division, Region etc.) in a timely and professional manner.
• Balances open tasks with other staff support priorities within the team or department when known.
• Other service department tasks and assignments as directed by as assigned by department manager.

Your Profile / Qualifications

• Preferably an accounting or business degree or commensurate experience in inside sales billing support

• 3-5 years in a billing role (preferably business to business) supporting inside sales to demanding industrial customers.

• Able to provide business support to a multi-location team efficiently and accurately

• Computer literacy including knowledge of SAP, MS Axapta, CRM, MS Office, or ability to quickly learn business software application

• Ability to efficiently work with online customer payment portals and order management screens.

• Able to multi-task and work under pressure.

• Self-motivated and highly organized. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

The Accounts Receivable Analyst (ARA) is responsible for all customer accounts being kept current and paid within payment terms. The position consists of a variety of financial, clerical, and administrative duties including, but not limited to preparing initial and follow-up letters, collection calls to clients, data entry and resolving routine problems.
