• Review journal entries for ARL and international entities investment portfolios (for example: Ireland, Syndicate, Gulf Re) on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Analysis of Derivative Variation Margin. Post and reconcile OPR, and mortgage mezzanine analysis and entries.
• Integral involvement in the review of processing for intercompany securities transactions and investment clearing on monthly basis.
• Assist in preparing and analysis monthly and quarterly investment accounting reports related to the investment portfolio as required by executive management, including financial reports,  disclosures and MD&A’s in Forms 10-K and 10-Q and other SEC filings.
• Assist in enhancing the accounting, reporting and analysis functions surrounding the alternative investments and integration of new alternative investment platform both on GAAP and Statutory basis.
• Work closely with our internal auditors in monitoring and documentation of internal controls (SOX) and external auditors to provide timely and accurate information over financial reporting related to investment accounting
• Stay abreast of investment related reporting and compliance / regulatory changes that may impact the reporting process. Assist in the implementation of regulatory changes to reporting processes
• Participate in CGAAP and anticipated Somers Re integration. Review and work closely with investment accounting team on new Investment clearing tool in Clearwater.
• Review preparation of Statutory Accounting disclosures for Somers Re.

The candidate develops innovative predictive models and analytical tools to improve profitability, growth, and operational efficiency. This position will help support predictive modeling needs across a growing portfolio of high-profile advanced analytics projects with the Strategic Analytics team supporting Claim. As a key member of the team you will also play a role in advancing predictive modeling capabilities, enabling Arch to make better decisions.

• Collaborate with experienced modelers to build predictive models and analytic solutions using Python or R; apply techniques such as GLM, decision trees, GBM and NLP
• Manipulate data using R or SQL Server; develop advanced ad hoc queries to investigate data anomalies and to summarize data for pattern detection

The Payments Systems Analyst provides technical and operational support relating to the payments systems of the business, including the Payment Gateway, Points and Pay by Account (PBA). This role involves configuration, troubleshooting, and in-depth analysis of EonX payment systems. Key areas of responsibility include detailed documentation, defect investigation, fraud mitigation, and providing high-level technical support for payment gateways and PBA services to ensure efficient and secure payment operations. The role works with the Payments tribe and collaborates with stakeholders across the business to support these needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the setup and ongoing management of Payment Gateway and Points integrations in lower environments, ensuring thorough documentation of configuration processes and requirements for production configuration.
• Perform troubleshooting and data analysis across lower environments and production systems, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
• Analyze operational data to assist with processing and resolution of operational requests (eg. refunds, funds transfers).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop, set up, validate, and document system configuration requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Engage actively in fraud detection and prevention strategies, contributing to a secure payment environment.
• Undertake detailed investigations into defects related to the Payment Gateway and Pay by Account (PBA), focusing on identifying root causes and coordinating appropriate follow-up actions.
• Participate in incident responses related to Payments Systems. 
• Create and consistently update detailed documentation, requirements (functional, non-functional and technical) and user stories, actively contributing to the product backlog for periodic review by business teams.
