The Sr. Accountant will prepare workpapers, journal entries, and reconciliations for selected programs. The senior accountant will have ownership over the economics for their select programs ensuring accuracy.

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Prepare and monitor program economics for select programs including monthly program entries, reconciliations, and cash application.
• Provide technical support to the Finance Teams (AP, AR, Bank Reconciliation, Claims Payable, Reporting).
• Support quarter-end and year-end close processes, expense allocation process and any internal reporting for the Group.
• Provide leadership and drive for quality and accuracy.

The Support Analyst provides end-user support in creating documentation for recurring tasks as well as assisting the team in setting up user accounts. This person diagnoses, troubleshoots and resolves basic and moderate technical problems. This person operates under defined processes and procedures and makes decisions regarding short-term priorities and work activities requiring interpretation of guidelines, policies and procedures. The Support Analyst will work closely with our Helpdesk, Desktop Technology, and ATS teams in supporting users in general IT problems.  This is a Night Shift role.

The finance analyst is responsible for collection, organization, interpretation, analysis, recording, documentation and dissemination of of simple to mid-complex financial data sets. The candidate will provide support and be part of the UK Finance team and will report to the Bank Reconciliation and Accounts Payable manager in London.

The T&E Analyst is an integral member of the US Reinsurance Finance team and supports Arch’s T&E policies, system and processes. The T&E Analyst is primary responsible for auditing of expense reports, providing user support by resolving user requests and ensuring adherence with Arch’s T&E Policies.  The T&E Analyst assists in the communication with Concur users and provides assistance identifying payment discrepancies, past due balances and performing reconciliation between user account balances in Concur with company credit card statements. Ability to understand and uphold the policies set forth in Arch’s T&E Policies is essential. The ability to maintain confidentiality of user personal & financial data is required.

• Liaise with Shared Services Teams (T&E) on daily activities while acting as point of contact.

Arch’s delegated authority programs are written by third party agencies referred to Agencies or Managed General Agencies (MGA’s).  Arch has a regulatory requirement to audit the MGA.  The candidate will reconcile policy data between Arch financial systems and the systems of the MGA for the various programs.  The candidate will create exhibits to identify the reconciling differences and work with various groups to resolve and clear the differences.

The Statutory Accountant 2 is responsible for collection, organization, interpretation, analysis, recording, documentation and dissemination of complex data sets. The candidate will provide support during night shift corresponding to US EST working hours.

Business Systems Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for collaborating with the digital product managers (DPM), business system owners, and users to capture the right business requests and accurately translating them to specifications that aid design, coding and testing of complex software and/or data warehouse applications within the organization.

The BSA performs a liaison function between the DPM, business users, software engineers and QA analysts for implementing software solutions in order to accurately realize business goals.

• Works with the business users and DPM/Proxy DPM to accurately capture all stakeholder requests and translate them into system specifications. Writes user stories based on the epics or larger scope stories created by the DPM/Proxy DPM. Meets INVEST and DOR criteria for stories. Works with the Sprint team on breaking stories down into smaller vertical slices.
• Identifies and captures Acceptance Criteria for user stories. Works with the testers to ensure that all software components are tested adequately. Reviews test cases in Test Rails, collaborates with Developers and Testers on the right number of tests, types of tests applicable for the story, and the story DOD. Accepts the story on behalf of the DPM/Proxy DPM, confirms it meets the DOD.
• Collaborates with QA on documenting bugs found in non-production environments, captures them in Jira, meets DOR for bugs. Helps PDM/Proxy DPM prioritize non-prod bugs and issues, based on potential Production impact.
• Assists Support group with identifying DOR for Production bugs.
• Leads the end-to-end/integration testing, assists DPM in planning of the test effort. Collaborates with the business users/SMEs/stakeholders on the use cases and test cases.
• Maintains product and system documentation in Confluence, Miro, and other tools. Collaborates with BPMs, analyzes, maps, and communicates current state and future state business processes.
• Continuously builds relationships with business users (key and designated stakeholders, business users, BPMs), obtains and grows knowledge about the business process. Serves as an SME on the Product Team.
