ABOUT THE ROLE 

As an Accounting Support Officer, you will provide comprehensive support to the Managing Director and the onshore team. You will have a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for driving efficiency and excellence within the firm. You will be instrumental in maintaining the financial integrity of both the firm and the small businesses it serves. By ensuring accurate financial records and efficient transaction processing, you will be directly contributing to the financial health and success of the firm.  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Perform daily bookeeping tasks, including keeping accurate recording financial transactions 
• Ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately reflected in cashflow statements. 
• Assist in the management and reconciliation of financial records, including invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliation. 
• Process payroll for a portfolio of small business clients, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and superannuation contributions. 
• Assist in the accurate processing of company's payroll including fringe benefits, superannuation contributions and ATO's Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting. 
• Collaborate with the advisory team to provide clients with insights on their financial data and support them in making informed business decisions. 
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of financial management software and systems.  

• Assist in the prompt and accurate submission of financial reports to clients in compliance with accounting standards, taxation regulations and company policies. 
• Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline and improve accounting processes and services 
• Support the Managing Director and the team with ad-hoc projects, presentations and meetings. 
• Liaise with clients and maintain strong professional relationships. 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting,, Finance, or a related field. 
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Australian accounting and taxation law. 
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll regulations. 
• Proficiency in using Cloud accounting software - Quickbooks, Xero and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 
• Strong attention to detail, and exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

The Loan Officer is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with borrowers and providing quality customer service, acting as the principal account manager for new and existing customers. The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer reports to the Manila-based Senior M&E Manager and is responsible for coordinating monitoring, evaluation, and reporting activities under the award in the O2 implementation sites. This is a regular full-time position based in Davao City. The M&E Officer ensures timely communication of data to the Senior M&E Manager. S/he works with the Senior M&E Manager on the development and management of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Plan.
 

Essential Functions 

The M&E Officer’s specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Work with the MEL Team in designing, testing, and translating various M&E and research tools as well as activity monitoring plans and research work plans.

- Lead the implementation, coordination, and supervision of MEL activities in the assigned project sites.

- Perform or assist in data collection, data entry, data validation, and data quality assessment.

- Train field interviewers in data collection as necessary.
