Responsibilities

• Listen to audio recordings of medical dictations of physicians/providers
• Transcribe the dictations into written reports
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of the transcribed reports
• Follow medical transcription guidelines and formatting requirements
• Manage workload and meet deadlines
• Review and edit transcribed reports as necessary
• Collaborate with medical professionals to clarify dictations and ensure accuracy

Possible start date will be in 2 weeks

8 hour shift Monday-Friday (graveyard shift; US hours)

Weekend days off

• Proven experience as a medical transcriptionist (At least 3 years of experience)
• Excellent typing skills and knowledge of medical terminology
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to transcribe medical dictations into written reports
• Good communication and listening skills
• Proficient in using transcription software and equipment
• Familiarity with medical transcription guidelines and formatting
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
• Amenable to work in a graveyard shift

Job Details
Schedule: 8hrs shift (TBA) Mondays - Fridays

Start Date : In 2-4 weeks (for pooling)

• Manage accounts receivables and keep up-to-date records
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance companies for claim submission and follow-up
• Generate revenue by making payment arrangements, collecting accounts and monitoring and pursuing delinquent accounts
• Collect delinquent accounts by establishing payment arrangements with patients, monitoring payments and following up with patients when payment lapses occur
• Maintain Medicare bad-debt cost report
• Secure outstanding balance payments for care of employees
• Verify insurance eligibility for patients and ensure timely payment
• Handle denied claims and appeal if necessary
• Reconcile payments and post to patients' accounts
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Handle patient inquiries regarding their accounts
• Must have 1 year of experience in Orthopedics/Podiatry billing

What will you do?

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and their families. They handle inquiries, provide information about services and procedures, schedule appointments, and address concerns or complaints. Effective communication skills, empathy, and a patient-centered approach are essential in this role.
• Responsible for managing appointment schedules for healthcare providers. They coordinate with patients to find suitable appointment times, ensuring efficient use of provider availability and minimizing wait times.
• Assist with the registration process for new patients, collecting necessary personal and medical information, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately.  
• Verify insurance benefits for patients and help patients understand their coverage and financial responsibilities.
• Maintain and update patient records, ensuring they are accurate, confidential, and accessible.
• Acts as advocates for patients, helping them navigate the healthcare system, understand their rights, and access appropriate resources or support services. They may provide information on community resources, support groups, or financial assistance programs, as well as address any concerns or complaints raised by patients.
• Provide administrative support to healthcare providers and other staff members. This may include managing office supplies, maintaining appointment calendars, preparing correspondence, coordinating meetings, and assisting with other clerical tasks as needed.
