Wrist Shared Service Center is looking for an IT Director Group IT Manila who will assume the overall leadership responsibility for Wrist’s Manila based IT organization. This includes employee management as well as local IT vendor relations management towards i.e., our local recruiting partner. You will be responsible for performance management of the IT teams as well as personal development and coaching of direct reports.
In collaboration with your Danish-based IT management colleagues you will be responsible for building an IT organization that works as one across Manila and Nørresundby (Denmark). Moreover, you are expected to cultivate a structured, process-oriented approach to operations, to ensure a smooth and efficient integration of operations across time zones and continents and lay the foundation for continuous service, process and quality improvement.
To succeed in the role of IT Director Group IT Manila, you continuously communicate with your Danish IT management colleagues to align efforts and provide valuable insights and support.
The overall responsibility includes, but is not limited to:
- Manage and develop Wrist’s Manila based IT organization to ensure that the center can deliver market leading IT services and capacity (cost and quality) to the entire Wrist Group
- Develop Wrist’s Manila based IT organization’s overall vision for enabling Wrist’s business strategy: Together with IT management, set direction for future development, opportunities as well as setup improvements
- Increase IT services offered by Wrist’s Manila based IT organization and develop additional value adding services in collaboration with your Danish colleagues in Wrist’s IT management and business stakeholders.
- Manage and ensure integration of Wrist’s Manila based IT-organization with the overall goal of ensuring that Wrist’s IT function readily can meet business needs
- Consolidate and optimize the Manila based IT organization’s processes: Experience with establishing ITIL practices and/or agile ways of working is a plus but not a requirement
- Responsible for results delivered by the Manila based IT organization
- Manage stakeholder alignment and engagement across Wrist’s business units and Group IT to ensure customer-centric focus and that as part of Group IT the Manila based IT organization represents one community and interface to the Wrist business.
- Coordinate business continuity efforts and aligning leadership approach among team leaders in collaboration with your Danish IT management colleagues.
Leadership and Performance Management
- Establish and develop high performance teams
- Impose the Wrist Group values in the Manila based IT organization
- Cultivate one community across Global Group IT’s locations and IT technical areas
- Collaborate proactively with your IT management colleagues in Denmark
- Manage stakeholders proactively through continuous communication to IT Management, IT Teams and business Stakeholders.
- As IT Director of Wrist’s Manila based IT organization you are expected to act as a role model and lead the way: You are expected to inspire, motivate, coach and mentor employees and managers under direct reports
Vendor Management
- Actively manage all aspects of the day-to-day relationship with local partners relevant to the IT organization
- Fully leveraging the capabilities of partner and opportunities to improve day-2-day operations.
Finance Management
- Manage budget as well as deliver benefits set out in the business case for the Manila based IT organization.
- Ensure cost transparency across all service areas in Manila.
- Ensure cost allocation to relevant cost centres when utilising team members for non-support activities.
Reports to
The Manila based IT organization is organizationally anchored in Wrist Group IT. As IT Director Group IT Manila you will report directly to the Group CIO, closely collaborate with the office of the CIO and have a dotted reporting line to the general manager of our WSC.
Authority
Where responsibility is allocated, the matching authority is also granted, unless otherwise stated. Stop any operation when deemed unsafe to continue.
Documentation and record responsibilities
- Monthly financial reporting on budgets (REYR)
- Participate in IT management meetings to coordinate and prioritize projects and tasks across functional IT areas.
- Responsible for escalating personnel matters directly to CIO when needed.
Qualification Requirements
- University degree (bachelor or master’s) within relevant field; Business, Computer Science, information technology management etc.
- Good English language skills.
- Experience with project- and stakeholder management.
- Experience with financial reporting.
- 10 years of experience working in IT preferably in international organizations
- 7 years of experience as a people manager and solid leadership background – experience with and ability to lead through others
- Skilled in change management and organizational development.
- Ability to link business strategy and IT to provide services to the Wrist business. Ability to lead and communicate visions, plans and business cases convincingly at senior management level
- Full understanding of the majority of the functions in a global organization.
