What are we looking for?
Skills Required:
- Bachelorâs Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program
- Proven experience as a Family Law paralegal
- Strong knowledge of family law procedures, legal terminology, and document preparation
- Proficient in using ADOBE applications
- Proficiency in Legal Software â WestLaw and Clio
What will you do?
- Client Support: Provide excellent client service by assisting with inquiries, gathering necessary documentation, and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Legal Research: Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents to support attorneys in case preparation and strategy.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and financial disclosure statements.
- Court Filings: Manage court filings, including e-filings, ensuring compliance with deadlines and requirements.
- Case Management: Assist in managing and organizing case files, schedules, and deadlines.
- Communication: Coordinate and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as necessary.
- Trial Preparation: Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness interviews, and trial logistics.
