The Underwriting Service Specialist will help underwriters and actuaries analyze insurance submissions. They will review the applicants’ data (the “submission”); clean, organize and capture data such as class, historical exposures, loss runs, pricing, etc. to refine our target rates. • Review insurance submission documents and data for eligibility and completeness.

This position is responsible for assisting with the design and execution of automated diagnostic test plans to ensure that our services meet the highest quality standards and business requirements. Other tasks include developing and running new tests, reporting on the results and collaborating with other engineers to diagnose and fix issues. This role is for an individual that is attentive to detail and open to exploring and implementing new technology and processes to improve the QA process.

• Performs test planning activities as required.

• Automation Testing – Set up and maintain automation tests and be involved with CI CD.

• Develop and maintain Azure Functions and APIs

• Develop real time data transformations, model variable creation, and orchestration activities to support the scoring process
• Use SQL, Python and Snowflake to explore and understand underlying data, and suggest improvements for performance and best practice
