Bizforce and our medical billing division, MedCore Solutions, is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate WFH US Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing quality healthcare services to patients. This is a permanent work from home position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures
• Interview patients and document basic medical history
• Obtain and record vital signs and medical history of patients
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization
• Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect samples
• Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care
• Update and maintain electronic medical records
• Provide patient education and support
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care

Other Details:

Duration: Part-time; Steady-state

Schedule: 2 Full Days: 9AM-5PM Tuesdays & Wednesdays, then 9AM-4PM every other Friday (16-24 hours every other week)

• At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or a Medical Secretary in a virtual healthcare setting
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Update and file medical records and insurance reports
• Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Amenable to work in a graveyard shift (at any US time zone)
• Can start immediately or in 2 weeks

What You'll Do

• Manage patient calls to the nurse line regarding urgent appointments, medication refills, care instructions and a variety of other concerns
• Accurately document all communications in patient’s EMR
• Communicate with providers regarding appropriate patient care and advise patients of care instructions
• Maintains privacy and confidentiality of all patient protected health information according to HIPAA guidelines

• Active USRN License
• A detail oriented, multitasker who is passionate about patient care
• Amenable to work in US hour time (graveyard shift)
• An eager people-person who enjoys helping others over the phone
• An excellent communicator who is equally well written and well spoken
• Strong commitment to high level customer service.
• Previous experience working with health insurance, or a health care environment is preferred
• One-year practical work experience in a call center or equivalent customer service environment
• A self-motivated problem solver who works well within a team and also on their own
• Technologically savvy and able to learn multiple computer systems easily
• Adaptable, patient, organized and a critical thinker

As our business grows, we are looking to further strengthen our Clinical Operations team in IQVIA Philippines by hiring a Site Activation Specialist.

You will perform tasks at a country level associated with Site Activation (SA) activities in accordance with applicable local and/or international regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), project requirements and contractual/budgetary guidelines. May also include maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) in assigned studies for investigative sites, Site Activation Manager (SAM), Project Management team, and other departments as necessary. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), quality of designated deliverables and project timelines.
• Perform start up and site activation activities according to applicable regulations, SOPs and work instructions. Distribute completed documents to sites and internal project team members.
• Prepare site regulatory documents, reviewing for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure accurate completion and maintenance of internal systems, databases and tracking tools with project specific information.
• Review and provide feedback to management on site performance metrics.
• Review, establish and agree on project planning and project timelines. Ensure monitoring measures are in place and implement contingency plan as needed.
• Inform team members of completion of regulatory and contractual documents for individual sites.
• Review, track and follow up the progress, the approval and execution of documents, regulatory, ethics, Informed Consent Form (ICF), and Investigator Pack (IP) release documents, in line with project timelines.
• Provide local expertise to SAMs and project team during initial and on-going project timeline planning.
• Perform quality control of documents provided by sites.
• May have direct contact with sponsors on specific initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or a related field
• Some years of clinical research or other relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Understanding of regulated clinical trial environment and knowledge of drug development process.
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, including local regulations, SOPs and company’s Corporate Standards.
• Good negotiating and communication skills with ability to challenge, if applicable.
• Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize tasks.
