Overall Purpose
The Admissions Coordinator is part of the registry team, providing professional and efficient student administration services from admissions through to graduation. This role will predominantly coordinate and perform international and domestic student admission duties in accordance with the policies and processes in alignment with the expectations of the appropriate regulators and accreditation bodies.
Specifically, the Admissions Coordinator will have responsibilities for coordinating admissions workload at the offshore office, working along with Offshore Admissions Officer, processing international student applications, issuing the letters of offer and processing Confirmations of Enrolment from PRISMS, as well as issuing domestic letter of offers. Other duties include processing advance standing, overseas student health cover and other administrative duties such as assisting registry services and enrolment processes across all brands and campuses, enrolments, student course and subject transfers and transition/teach out, PRISMS compliance where appropriate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate the assessment and processing of applications from international students for admission to courses at the offshore office, including the workload of offshore admissions staff
2. Assess and process international applications for admission according to the admissions guidelines and within the agreed SLAs, such as issuing letters of offer for international students, and issuing COEs from PRISMS
3. Assess and process domestic applications for admission - issuing letters of offers, understanding the difference between the domestic and international admissions process
4. Maintain accurate and thorough international admissions records on the management system, and in related filing systems; Ensure that all admissions related communication is recorded against the student record.
5. Understand admissions and advance standing process, as well as articulation agreements to ensure articulating students are accurately processed at the admissions stage
6. Liaise and develop sound working relationships with students, marketing, agents, academic areas and other sections, regarding assessment and admissions of students;
7. Provide advice and information to applicants, agents, academic and external agencies, about courses, admission requirements and procedures in compliance with policies and procedures;
8. Support the registry services and enrolment teams during peak times with various administrative, enrolment and PRISMS compliance processes.

4. Familiarise yourself with relevant policy and procedures held in the Institutional Policy Register and adhere to all guidelines within that are relevant to your area

Key External Relationships
Government agencies: - As required - To ensure currency in legislation as it relates to enrolments, enrolment patterns, campus capacities, class sizes, assessment and other related areas.
- Experience with International Student Application Processing (Australia education is highly advantageous but also open to US and UK education)
- Proven proficiency in the use of technology, preferably technologies as they relate to admissions, timetabling, enrolment, and student and customer relationship management systems
- Evidenced experience of working in close alignment with institutional policies and of implementing, and improving, associated processes
- Advanced knowledge of Higher Education standards as they apply to Student services, student support and student administration
- Previous experience in student admissions/student services/administration
Highly Advantageous:Ā
- Understanding and knowledge of PRISMS and PRISMS data entry and reporting
- Experienced in the requirements of the National Code 2018 and ESOS Act 2000
