The Cost and Inventory Analyst - Poultry & Meats is responsible for providing accurate information on detailed costing and running cost of all meats, poultry, layer & broiler produced, transferred and sold by ensuring correctness of stated inventory and inventory-related account balances at any given time; and efficient accounting, costs effective and recording of inventory and costing-related transactions.  The position is also responsible for inventory valuation (excluding fixed assets).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cost Accounting and Management Reporting

1. Provides accurate detailed costing for all meats, poultry, layer & broiler farms and prepares Detailed Costing report.
2. Prepares the following monthly reports:
   • Monthly Meats & Poultry Cost Analysis
   • Monthly Raw mats and Spares In transit report
   • Monthly Feed consumption report
   • Monthly monitoring of feeds cost movement
   • Monthly Insurance Report
   • Monthly Financial Statement of Medes Broiler Farm & Other Project
3. Validation and cut-off of system documents.
4. Prepares and encodes Journal Vouchers. 

Fixed Assets

1. Prepares monthly monitoring of livestock, the retirement and addition of livestock.

Inventory Count.

1. Reconciles monthly inventory and inventory-related accounts.
2. Analyzes inventory variances.
3. Conducts periodic visit on farms for physical inventory.

Other Duties

1. Provides the Management Accounting Lead, Management Accounting Supervisor and P&L Accountant with information that might influence poultry cost planning
2. Attends weekly poultry production and marketing meetings in the absence of Team Leader.
3. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

JOB OBJECTIVE:

The Farm Production Technician (for Breeding & Gestation) is responsible for the over-all activities relating to the breeding and gestation unit which include breeding and implementation of breeding related programs, management of pregnant sows/gilts, feeding, health assessment & medication, biosecurity, barn management, data recording and data management and other related programs under the Breeding & Gestation operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Genetic Program

1. Implements genetic program and monitors, evaluates and analyzes results of the genetic program.

2. Ensures compliance of the section to the approved genetic program.

3. Monitors and ensures accuracy, completeness and correctness of breeders' profile and breeder animals' individual records in the field and in the swine production management software.

Breeding process

1. Carry out heat detection, artificial insemination, boar semen collection and semen processing activities and ensures compliance to the section's SOPs.

2. Assess and monitors the breeding activities to ensure that production performance targets are achieved.

3. Reports any issues or concerns that may be noted in the breeding activities.

4. Analyzes performance gaps and recommends measures to address gaps.

5. Recommends and implements enhancements to existing breeding programs and activities.

6. Coordinates with other sections to ensure seamless integration of the breeding processes to the entire swine production flow.

Breeding & Gestation Operations

1. Carry out barn management activities to maintain the cleanliness, orderliness and functionality of the breeding and gestation facilities.

2. Carry out procedures relating to the proper management of gilts, sows and boars in the section.

3. Conducts activities related to hog sales declaration and selling of pigs in the farm.

4. Collects and records swine operations data & maintains production records.

Other Tasks

1. Conduct other farm operational duties that may be assigned to ensure attainment of the farm's goals and deliverables.

2. Train breeding and gestation staff to build the competency of the team in order to achieve performance targets.

FOOD SAFETY:

1. Ensures execution of quality and food safety policy, standards and regulations within the team.

2. Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.

OTHER TASKS:

1. Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Farm Veterinarian is responsible for ensuring the maintenance and improvement of the health status of all animals in the assigned farms by implementing the herd health programs, biosecurity procedures and monitoring of inventory of veterinary products used to implement such programs in order to achieve production volume targets and swine operational efficiency.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages Health, Mortality and Morbidity Rates

1. Implements herd health programs for the assigned farms.  Updates the farms' vaccination and medication programs when needed and recommends therapeutic regimen in cases as they arise.

2. Conducts routine rounds in the farms to check on health status of animals and responds to control disease situations. 

3. Conducts over-all assessment of the management and husbandry practices in the farms to evaluate factors that may influence and impact the herd health.

4. Conducts medication and vaccination trials including other  veterinary and production related trials and evaluates regularly health and performance status of pigs under the trial.

5. Performs necropsy of pigs and submits findings to Farm Manager and Veterinary Manager and provides assessment based on historical background, relevant data, clinical and necropsy findings.

6. Submits specimens and samples to external party for diagnostics and analysis to check health status of herd.

7. Conducts regular health screening and ensures that all needed diagnostic procedures are accomplished in a timely manner.

8. Ensures that all veterinary related documents and reports are accomplished and submitted in a timely manner.

      Compliance to Farm Biosecurity Policies and SOPs

1. Ensures that the company’s biosecurity policies and SOPs are strictly followed.

2. Conducts regular biosecurity audits to ensure compliance on the biosecurity procedures.

3. Explores on processes, products, technologies and practices that may help improve the existing biosecurity procedures.

4. Provides biosecurity recommendations to further improve the farms' biosecurity procedures.

Inventory Monitoring

1. Checks inventory of veterinary stocks and ensures that stocks are sufficient all the time.

2. Ensures that veterinary stocks are available for use in the farms.

3. Ensures proper management of near expiry medicines and vaccines including other veterinary stocks to avoid or minimize expiring stocks.

4. Ensures proper implementation of biosecurity procedures for incoming stocks in the farms.

Coordination with Government Agencies

1. Prepares and signs veterinary documents, e.g. Pedigree Certificate, Veterinary Health Certificate, Vaccination Records, etc.

2. Prepares documents and facilitates the processes necessary to secure veterinary shipping documents and other veterinary certificates, permits or licenses.

3. Coordinates with relevant government agencies to ensure smooth and seamless transactions in the shipment of hogs. 

4. Represents the Pilmico Farms in veterinary-related activities and other concerns. 

Other Duties

1. Controls medication and other veterinary related costs and aims to reduce them whenever necessary.

2. Conducts training of farm personnel on animal diseases and symptoms and cascades updates on animal health. 

3. Facilitates creation, development, delivery and implementation of the Pilmico Farms training programs.
