Shift Assignment: Night Shift

The Software Engineer is responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions. The role includes working on Front-end and back-end systems. The main duties include understanding user requirements, translating them to Front/Back End code, developing database objects and APIs.

The candidate will provide analysis, design, coding, debugging, testing, and support of software applications.

1. Works with the Agile Program Manager (APM), Digital Product Manager (DPM), and Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to accurately capture stakeholder requests and system specifications and translate them into engineering artifacts, which typically include design specifications, source code, test scripts and test results.
2. Coordinates with software architects and Software engineer IVs to ensure that the engineering realization is in accordance with Enterprise Architecture principles and software development best practices.
3. As part of Agile teams, completes software development work which includes application design, coding, code review and testing. Keeps Agile team and APM apprised of project status.
4. Offers suggestions to stakeholders on devising effective and efficient approaches to achieve project and program objectives.
5. Manages engineering risks by proactively tracking and communicating issues and devising methods to mitigating them.
6. Liaises with other project and program areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues.
7. Supports business units in the resolution of in-depth user questions and issues following production support process and SLA’s.
8. Maintains a working knowledge of new technology and software engineering standards, practices and tools.
9. Provides input to APM/DPM in creation of Product Roadmap, High Level Estimates

About the role

A Build Engineer Intern is part of an agile development team who works along the areas of build process from environment setup to build releases. Ensures the development and improvement of the build, deployment pipeline, and tools for our game projects, while embracing the philosophy of DevOps.

The Business Process Engineer is responsible for leading and supporting value stream and business process-based projects and initiatives across 1FG. He/ she provides expertise and technical assistance for projects involving the end-to-end business process of the different business divisions of 1FG. The main role of the RPA support engineer is to create quality gates for all projects to be deployed in production. Prepare test case scenarios on project in adherence to SDLC cycle. Deploy quality and sustainable fix for any issues based on the Service Level Agreement.

Support all projects in production and leads the Quality Assurance of Projects. Attend to all issues and concerns logged in Ticketing system based on SLA.

• Analyzes the Test Cases prepared by other team members Executing the Test Cases following testing lifecycle processes.

• Execute and monitor long running (multi-hour to multi-day), asynchronous tests.
• Create a framework for and conduct system load and service stress tests.
• Alert teams of defects, create bug tickets, and track tickets through resolution.
• Provide operational production support on a rotational basis for overnight jobs and work flows (US time zone) - Saturday morning (Friday evening in the US) support is required when on rotation
• Help identify weaknesses in our products by actively participating in all phases of the development process.
• Build and contribute to a culture of quality by improving processes, building stakeholder buy in, and mentoring peers.

Must-have Skills / Qualification:

• 3+ years of automated Software Testing experience with cloud native, distributed microservice architectures (not UI testing)
• 3+ years of experience writing code in Java or Golang
• Understanding of and practical experience with
• Message broker systems such as Kafka, Pub/Sub, or RabbitMQ
• Databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigQuery, or Mongo
• REST, gRPC or protobuf protocols
• GCP or AWS and Github
• Passion for improving software quality
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Advanced problem-solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills

Advantageous skills:

• DevOps tech familiarity like Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, etc
