Scope of Role

ITRS has a DevOps team that creates and supports its Continuous integration, build and similar systems. We are now building its next generation observability platform with the capability to collect, store and analyse the vast amount of data generated by banks and financial institutions.

Crucial to the adoption of our product is a streamlined client deployment and management process. With around 200 clients we are faced with different levels of complexity, automation, and sophistication in the deployment process – complexity which we need to take into account when developing, testing and marketing the product.

ITRS is looking to strengthening its DevOps team with an Engineer with experience in Kubernetes-based systems as well as a background in more standard software development DevOps.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will:

• Report to our Engineering Manager and work with the Engineering team in developing a flexible DevOps infrastructure to help develop a data collection, storage and analytics platform and a user-centric application that enables the use and visualisation of data.
• Work with Product, Engineering, TechComms, and Support to define, document, and promote best practices around deployment and management of the system.
• Help clients and early adopters to deploy the stack.
• Improve the manageability and supportability of the stack – this includes working with Product to define new features required to make the product easier to manage.
• Actively participate in proposing, planning and implementing DevOps solutions.
• Be an active part of the DevOps team that is supporting an Engineering team developing both the existing Geneos product and the new analytics-based platform, sharing best practices, providing support, sharing knowledge and generally collaborating to solve the most pressing issues at hand.

You will have:

• Understanding of networking and TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of systems/networking security best practices.
• Experience with Linux system administration.
• Experience with Kubernetes or other similar orchestration technologies.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker.
• 4+ years experience in cloud technologies (for example AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
• Experience with configuration tools such Ansible, Puppet, Chef.
• Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMWare, ESXI.
• Experience in continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience with VCS such as Git.
• Some level of programming experience such as Python, Java, .NET.

Position : Accounting Operations Analyst 4

Working Hours : 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM US Pacific Time (PST)

Salary Range : $800-$1600

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain accounting and financial files, including financial workbooks, property spreadsheets, and trackers
• Work with Property Managers, Asset Managers and other accountants to enter information into financial workbooks
• Assist with monthly reporting process
• Check emails daily (manage personal inbox, accounting inbox)
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Analyze financial data and provide support for accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including A/R analysis, collections, and vendor inquiries.
• Update ACH information and assist with tenant billings as needed.
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and budget-to-actual explanations, creating invoices and
  posting charges to tenant ledgers
• Provide support for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close and reporting, including
  generating, modifying, preparing, and formatting monthly financial reports for the company properties
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation in electronic filing systems, including
  maintaining the Accounting Dropbox folder hierarchy and integrity.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and address inquiries in a
  timely manner.
• Work on ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed, including projects where there may be
  ambiguity or which do not have clearly established processes to reference
• Maintain and update accounting and financial information in the prescribed standards and
  systems
• Flexibility to support several different teammates within the Property Accounting department

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
• CPA is preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in finance, financial operations, accounting, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of debits and credits and bookkeeping entries

Being part of a team of Trading & Supply Credit Analysts, who undertake all regular (often daily) Credit Activities primarily in support of all T&S entities, including: Insurance Management activities from the SEE Sales Offices (i.e. Italy and Spain), specifically in receiving and processing of Credit Limit requests from the Sales Team, communication of the outcome and a possible negotiation, and other Controls monitoring and reporting actions. Credit Re-Assessments and ad hoc credit assessment requests, specifically performing robust quantitative and qualitative analysis of the counterparties Shell trades with to confirm and recommend Credit Ratings, Credit Limits and terms. Regular Credit Operations, specifically system updates and Credit Advice. Operations are an important part of the Trading & Supply Credit function requiring specialist, fast and dependable service to avoid downside risk, support the deal lifecycle and ensure it operates within the Credit control framework. This team will become the future fourth office, which will be part of the Global Credit Underwriting & Operations Team (Houston, London, Singapore and Manila) and one of four global teams in the Global Trading & Supply organisation that is focused on instilling operational excellence. This role encompasses a wide range of tasks and covers the majority of business lines with which Shell is involved in e.g. Crude & Products, Gas & Power, Marine etc. It therefore offers real variety and an opportunity to impact commercial outcomes.
