WHAT IS YOUR ROLE
A People Operations Specialist is a key HR role focused on enhancing employee experience, implementing HR policies, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR department with a tech-savvy approach. This role requires a blend of administrative skills, HR knowledge, and a tech-savvy mindset to leverage HR technologies effectively.
You will ensure the smooth operation of HR functions, focusing on providing support across various HR areas such as recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. You will handle HR documentation, and prepare reports.
By analyzing HR metrics, you will contribute to strategic HR planning and decision-making. This role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Working closely with HR and other departments, they help create a positive work environment and culture.

WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Support other team members as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the department, or other HR departments such as People Partners, TA, People Success, etc.Â
- Assist with timekeeping inquiries and processes such as processing and maintaining accurate timekeeping records, by running audit reports as needed.
- Review of endorsed job offers and sufficiency of pre-employment requirements prior to Contract Extension to new team members
- Provide support on HR-related topics such as leaves, compensation, and policies
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies
- Gather and analyze data with HR metrics
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of HR functions and duties
- Compile and update employee records
- Process documentation and prepare reports related to personnel activities
- Partner closely with other People functions and People Partners (HRBPs) to execute HR operational processes and services with a focus on employee experience and data integrity.
- Process employee changes and terminations including document generation, notifications, and HR systems updates.
- Participate in system testing tied to new program, system, or process rollouts.
- Support with reporting, audit, and data integrity initiatives.
- The POPS Specialist will be responsible for:
- Addressing Tier 0 and Tier 1 employee inquiries and requests.
- Escalating more complex issues to the appropriate team members.
- Assist with onboarding new hires (system entry, paperwork validation, background check administration), as needed.
- Document, maintain, and communicate core HR processes to stakeholders, managers, and employees.
- Identify and drive process improvement efforts, leveraging HR systems to automate and eliminate manual work where possible.Â

YOU HAVE…Â
- Bachelor's/College degree in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development (preferred)
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources positions.Â
- Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, and preventive labor relations, is preferred.Â
- Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement are preferred.
