JOB SUMMARY

Avid Customer Care is responsible for the provision of high quality technical and operational support for our software and solutions. Avid has a product range from low-end host based to high-end infrastructure solutions, including dedicated mixing surfaces, video editing, music production, postproduction, and broadcast news.

Working in association with our Technical Marketing and worldwide Support and Engineering/Testing Team, Resellers as well as Avid’s (international) Support, the individual will be responsible for ensuring consistency of support standards throughout the territory to both Post and Video Production customer bases.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 

•    Provides expert technical support on products throughout the customers Avid workflow, including editing, storage, asset management, cloud-based solutions, and news production
•    Work within a global support team covering 24x7x365 operations
•    Able to write effective handoff from shift-to-shift for support issues    
•    Provides proactive patch/upgrade planning including version compatibility
•    Creates and manages support cases in Avid’s case management system as appropriate
•    Reproduces and logs bugs as required
•    Engages additional specialized Avid resources when needed
•    Follows up on customer issues with appropriate Avid internal groups
•    Liaises with appropriate Avid management on a periodic basis to ensure visibility
•    Adheres to Avid’s relevant contractual SLAs (Service Level Agreements)

•    Existing knowledge/user experience with Avid’s Video Editing systems, Cloud solutions, Storage, and asset management preferred
•    Knowledge of post-production workflows, terminology, and equipment a plus
•    Broadcasting experience a plus, but not a requirement
•    Knowledge about network architecture and troubleshooting required
•    Knowledge about Linux shell and computer programming is a plus.       
•    Excellent English verbal and written communication skills required; second language is a plus

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Verifies using applicable equipment/device, analyzes and provide disposition to issues encountered pertaining to process and procedures to ensure quality and reliability of product at Test.
• Involve in holding, assessment and disposition of non-conforming products/materials.
• Helps to provide data, gather facts that will help other support group to determine root cause that will help resolved problems encountered in line.
• Initiates, coordinates and implements both preventive and corrective actions that will correct and prevent line problem that comes from machine, process or/and human errors.
• Collaborates with the other Departments for the completion of Quality Reports. Coordinates and meet Production, Test Engineering and other support group on product quality improvement via team improvement/module group activities.
• Generates, formulates and reviews quality documents such as inspection specification, procedures, work instructions, Engineering Request Form (ERF), MRB forms and Special instructions.
• Verifies, issuances, monitors, reviews and tracks the completion of the following the Non-Conforming products. (Test CAR, MRB, 8D and MVI FA as applicable).
• Prepares periodic report such as: Quality Gate Reject, Subcon Score Card, MRB hold lots, CAR/8D, CAT’s, Trends and other applicable quality monitoring report
• Communicates issues, concerns and information to appropriate team either internal or external.
• Conducts training or refresher on defect criteria to AMPI operators and inspectors regarding inspection (visual/electrical) requirement as part of their certification to ensure high quality inspection. This includes Subcontractors if applicable.
• Coordinate with the Training System Core Group (TSCG) on any changes that needs to be implemented to ensure effectiveness of the certification process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• College graduate preferably Engineering.
• At least 2 years of QA Engineering  and/or related industry

Strategic Analytics is a dynamic, growing team at Arch.  The team develops innovative predictive models and analytical tools to improve profitability and growth.  This position will support the technical implementation of predictive models and analytical tools of the Strategic Analytics team.  The position requires strong Python and API experience, as well as user-facing application support experience.  The role is for an individual who is open to exploring and implementing new technology in Azure and Databricks, as the team is dynamic and the technology needs and requirements are fluid and will evolve over time.

• Develop and maintain Azure Functions and APIs
• Develop libraries using Python
• Develop real time data transformations, model variable creation, and orchestration activities to support the scoring process

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) has a strong technical background in multiple
engineering disciplines. This position will interface closely with a tight-knit team of engineers
across a broad range of technical areas that provide managed services to internal global
customers. The ideal candidate will have a balance of breadth across engineering disciplines, depth and expertise in select areas, and practical real-life experience solving very complex problems while maintaining patience and professionalism in the most critical moments. The incumbent operates independently on complex assignments involving the analysis of both business and regulatory requirements, as well as the analysis of the individual technical implementations to maximize benefit to the business. This role requires an in depth knowledge of Active Directory, Federation, Linux, Storage, VMware ESX, Windows Server, and related system technologies. As a technical subject matter expert, you will mentor system engineers, review existing and implement new solutions to meet business objectives. The incumbent will act as an internal team escalation point for systems requests and issues. Travel up to 15% maybe be required based on project needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Design & deploy a robust monitoring/alerting strategy, defining & implement self-healing capabilities, creation & updating of automated runbooks/playbooks, triaging & solutioning production incidents.
• Subject Matter Expert on SolarWinds NPM, SAM, and NCM, and growing and maintaining the SolarWinds application infrastructure Work with the Network/Systems/Applications teams.
• Support to troubleshoot and understand system faults and application performance issues to design monitoring capabilities that can detect and auto correct.
• Build monitoring, alerting and dashboarding solutions that improve the visibility into our applications' performance and infrastructure metrics and keep operational workload stable.
• Use automation to streamline the monitoring of applications and services using scripting and tools.
• Good knowledge of Splunk, NewRelic, DataDog, Pingdom, AppDynamics and other monitoring tools.
• Tracks issues and business requests, and conducts research on broad-based solutions and
  new features that meet customer needs.
• Monitoring application performance usage through the use of APM and other monitoring tools to isolate the fault domain and identify root cause of performance issues.
• Facilitate blameless Incident Retrospectives to understand root causes, communicate learnings, determine remediation and make continuous enhancements to monitoring.
• Identifying, evaluating, and recommending monitoring tools and diagnostic techniques. Assess gaps in as-is monitoring tool capabilities and recommend tools to augment or replace.
• Monitoring support incident queue, investigating and resolving logged 3rd level technical support incidents.
• Mentoring / assisting eNOC Support staff with incident diagnosis

As a Quality Assurance Analyst your goals are, to conduct services like Functional Testing, Load Testing, Manual Testing, Unit Testing, Security Testing, and Deployment Testing and to ensure that the team you are working with are always thinking about quality while working on our customers goals. We believe quality is something that should be checked continuously throughout the process, not just at the end. 

Some of the day-to-day tasks are improving or setting up different quality activities during the development cycle, using data to prioritise and advocate for issues, working with the project team to write unit, integration, and end to end tests, and identifying risks with production releases.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Software Support Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, flexible work environment. In this role, you will work closely with Software Developers, App Support Engineers and Service Delivery Managers to ensure the prompt resolution of escalated issues. The role will be responsible for providing third level support, including configuration and some code fixes and facilitating knowledge transfer to our Application Support team.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and troubleshoot issues on Cubic’s software platform.
• Collaborate with software developers and App Support Engineers to identify, evaluate, and resolve application and system issues.
• Take ownership of customer issues escalated by the App Support team and see problems through to resolution.
• Support consistent uptime of the platform by reacting to alarms, monitoring performance and escalating issues to service owners as required.
• Document customer interactions and resolutions accurately and thoroughly
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of support documentation, knowledge base articles, and best practices.
• Perform root cause assessment and debug all issues and incidents assigned to Level 3.
• Participate in product testing and quality assurance activities.
• Stay up to date with product knowledge and latest industry trends
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall product and customer experience.
• Assist Support Engineering Manager with development, documentation and rollout of new operational processes and enhancement and enforcement of existing operational processes.
• Ensure any Production discovered issues result in improvements to the relevant Monitoring and Testing strategies and activities of Cubic teams.
• Assist in PI planning and team refinements to ensure potential issues are discovered prior to production releases.
• Represent Support concerns where needed in technical planning.

Essential Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
