Technical Performance

• Produce and deliver accurate financial reporting that align with the business’s weekly and monthly deliverable requirements and fiscal calendar.
• Prepare and maintain complex financial models particularly to support the annual planning process.
• Assist in the development of the annual plan/budget with various key stakeholders.
• Complete monthly analysis of actual SG&A costs and provide explanations for variances to Outlook/Plan. Support the month end close process performing reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of financial transactions, maintain and adjust for accruals and prepayments.
• Develop and improve consolidated reporting.
• Perform ad-hoc strategic and financial analyses and research assignments.
• Other ad-hoc tasks as and when they are required.

Policy, Process & Procedures

• Contribute and execute continuous improvement efforts in areas such as reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities 
• Create & update DTPs for new and existing processes. Ensure all approved DTPs are stored in the central repository site
• Ensure compliance with agreed KPI's/metrics for business performance
• Ensure full compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls and AECOM Internal Audit requirements

Participate and contribute to the success of both internal and external audits

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA Certification is an advantage
• 4+ years of experience in a medium or large size company
• Experience with large company ERP systems – i.e. Cognos, TM1, Hyperion, Oracle etc. 
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting standards 
• High proficiency in Excel; experience involving extensive work with complex spreadsheets.
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools is considered an asset.

Scope of Position:

• To proactively ensure CHB department meets the highest standards of import/export Customs compliance.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Compliance

• Monitor Licenses or Registration of Service Provider to prevent us from servicing our customers if the licenses/registrations are expired/revoked.
• Monitor Customer BOC CPRS/AMO registration and notify the Importer three (3) months prior to expiry date.
• Assist Customers in filing BOC/CPRS/AMO renewal application as required.
• Monitor GDP service provider performance through the Branch Quality Representative.
• Monitor Trade P screening performance through the District Trade Compliance Manager.
• Oversee the process to ensure on time submission of required documents to Customs for SGL and FTZ customers
• Assist in the enforcement of Expeditors’ Brokerage Operational Process Standards, policies, and procedures.
• Review all Powers of Attorney received by the branch for validity, and review Importer Questionnaire for completeness; upload valid POA and Importer Questionnaire into the POA Tool.
• Handle all letters (i.e., Amendment Letter Request, Affidavit of Undertaking, etc.)  preparation that are required for submission to Customs and to other Government Agencies.
• Assist Customer Service in OGA permits/licenses applications on behalf of the customers.
• Record any noncompliance/enforcement actions/penalties received in a centralized South Asia Region database in SharePoint.
• Any other compliance related matters and needs, as they become necessary (including, not limited to, documenting the export and import customs compliance foundations to be established with collaboration from the Regional South Asia Customs Team.

Internal Reviews and Monitoring

• Conduct weekly review of SGL Re-entry submission in accordance with prescribed regulation.
• Conduct daily review of FTZ shipment in accordance with BOC and PEZA requirements.
• Conduct weekly review of Entry Packet Submission by the 3rd party Broker with the Weekly Release Shipment Report.
• Conduct weekly review of entry of Approved TPB GCI in CFIT.
• Review HS Codes  supplied by importers to identify potential red flags and inaccuracies’
• Review HS Codes determination is performed by the 3rd Party Broker through the Customer Service.
• Complete annual Self-Audit, as administered by CHQ.
• Assist Regional Compliance Team with ensuring all monitoring reports are reviewed timely.
• Complete Monthly Import customs review as well as random checks throughout the month to ensure compliance with customs regulations and internal requirements. 

Information

• Ensure that branch employees are kept up to date on Customs and OGA related developments. Read daily publications of Port Calls, local customs publications (e.g., Pipelines, Public Bulletins, etc.). Visit customs and OGA websites on a regular basis. Ensure familiarity with Customs’ Informed Compliance Publications.
• Maintain current editions of required reference materials. These materials include local Customs Pipelines or Bulletins, Customs Info, Explanatory Notes.
• Meet with Customs on a regular basis; establish relationship and obtain feedback regarding branch standing with local Customs. Communicate with Customs and Other Government Agencies regarding compliance issues as needed.
• Attend monthly Brokerage/Compliance Managers’ Conference Calls.
• Meet regularly with Trade Compliance counterpart.
• Independently identify any customs compliance risks within the branch and escalate to the Customs Brokerage Manager as well as the Regional Customs Director.

Post Entry/Import Reviews

• Monitor Post Entry Modification, Refund, and Voluntary Disclosures Filings.
• Ensure proper and timely filing of protest for tentative release and other related matters associated to customs clearance in accordance with regulatory.
• Report all penalties/fines associated with the shipment internally up to customer.
• Manage all post entry activities, from start to finish, using Import Review Process in place.
• Manage import reviews for some customers as required.

Training

• Prepare and hold training sessions on a regular basis for CHB personnel. Topics should be based on the following:
  • Issues apparent in customs
  • Problems discovered during Import Reviews
  • New customs/OGA developments and procedures
• Assist entry personnel with compliance-related questions and issues.

Sales/Marketing

• Support sales/account management staff and brokerage manager in new business development and transitions, as needed.
• Shares Customs Market Update during Sales Meeting.
• Shares a weekly market update with the Regional Customs Team to include new regulatory changes and memorandums

The Tax Compliance Specialist is responsible for carrying out a range of tax and compliance functions, meticulously adhering to government regulations and aligning with company policies and procedures. The primary objective of these activities is to guarantee the timely completion of tasks related to taxation and compliance matters. This role involves a thorough understanding of applicable regulations, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding organizational policies, all aimed at ensuring that tax-related responsibilities are executed efficiently and in compliance with the established timelines.

A. LOCAL AND NATIONAL TAX APPLICATION AND PAYMENTS

• Prepare and ensure the timely filing and e-payment of BIR Returns.
• Prepare the sales allocation for business permit renewals. This involves conducting a reconciliation of declared sales with sales recorded in the company's books.
• Review the computation of Local Business Tax due.
• Prepare, review, and file advance VAT on milling wheat.
• Prepare and file applications for BIR Permits, including, but not limited to, authority to print and permit to use loose-leaf, certificate of deductibility for obsolete inventories and others
• File applications for Branch Registration and Information Update (e.g., new line of business or change of business address).

B. TAX AUDIT

• Provide audit requirements, schedules, and reconciliations requested by the BIR or Local Tax Authority.
• Maintain close coordination with assessors to ensure the closure of the audit.
• Prepare replies to Letter Notices. 
• Provide requirements, schedules, and reconciliations for regular internal tax reviews. Coordinate with auditors and ensure compliance with their recommendations for procedural improvements.

C. PROCESSES AND IMPROVEMENTS

• In the case of innovative projects, communicate with the BIR, LGUs, and other relevant government agencies in coordination with the AEV TACS Team.
• Research and analyze local and national tax laws applicable to the company’s business nature.
• Regularly update on memoranda and issuances issued by the BIR for new Tax Rules and Regulations. Conduct a study on the impact/applicability of new issuances to the company.
• Prepare guidelines for compliance with Tax Rules and Regulations.
• Evaluate and assess tax issues.
• Assist in strategizing and planning for tax savings for the company.
• Secure opinions of AEV TACS and provide feedback on tax queries from other departments/partners.
• Continuously update learnings by attending seminars or conventions pertaining to tax updates and other self-development training.
• Provide tax awareness through tax cascades. D. Other Tasks:
• In Charge of safekeeping of BIR documents and uploading of returns and reports in the Storage and Retention System

• Achieve assigned activity goals and targets for the territory as agreed with the reporting manager.

Requirements

• Require 1 - 2 years of prior relevant experience in Medical Sales .
• Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences / Pharmacy / Business or related field
• Good understanding of Healthcare Market and related procedures.   
• Fluency software operating systems, such as MS Office and customer relationship management systems.   
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.   
• Ability to conduct face to face presentations to customers.

Your assignment

• Responsible for the conceptualization of communications / content for IKEA FAMILY and småles members (to ensure they visit IKEA stores more frequently and buy more) and delivery of these communications to members.
• Secure that all loyalty communications content created by IKEA is compelling, meaningful, relevant, and creative executions are integrated, consistent and of high quality, delivering on set campaign objectives that secure alliance with IKEA brand values within visual and copy identity guidelines.
• Working closely with the Loyalty Manager, Commercial Activities, IKEA Food, Local Marketing Managers, and country marketing team to plan a loyalty communications calendar/brief as a base to develop communications materials for IKEA FAMILY and småles members.
• Responsible for conceptualizing aligned loyalty communications content that supports external comms campaign or collection launches, Loyalty campaigns for points/voucher redemptions, IKEA food and product offers for members for the country.
• Conceptualization of quarterly content and development of creatives for two editions of the småles newsletter (i.e., Bug News and Bug News Lite) for the country.
• Responsible for conceptualizing Club exp communication, community management and members acquisition and engagement.
• Contribute to the development of Loyalty Programme and other admin tasks:
• Provide support to the Local Marketing Managers with ad-hoc ideation of the småles initiatives to recruit more loyalty members, increase visits, and improve member engagement.
• Feedback on effectiveness of the country’s current CRM programme and share ideas with the Loyalty team and Local Marketing Managers to support future developments.
• Contribute to the accuracy of the loyalty budget, expense admin and monthly reconciliation with finance, etc.
• Responsible for securing partnerships with other brands for the IKEA FAMILY loyalty programme that benefits our members.
• Database preparation: For CRM365 -prepare ad hoc marketing lists in Click Dimensions or extract out for DM and SMS. For Legacy CRM -Extract leads from CRM, clean up the list before upload into Cheetah, send to vendors for DM and SMS blast.
• Work with Regional Loyalty Specialist and IT Operations for local bug fixing deployment and onsite testing (ad hoc).
• Work with Sales to secure smales merchandise from Children's range (4 times/year).
• Answering queries from CCC and CR in case of escalation. For Legacy CRM: support in crediting points in CRM system (ad hoc).
• Other administrative tasks: submit monthly liability report, send IKEA FAMILY batch card (2x /month), manage IKEA FAMILY voucher stock (only in Legacy CRM).

Proper handling of customer queries as well as on time response to incoming requests. Ensure service level agreements on timeliness and accuracy of postings are met / exceeded. Continuously find ways to drive efficiency and effectiveness by suggesting and implementing process improvements and best practices.
