About the role

OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Senior Engineer – Project Execution for a fixed term employment (2 years) who will be responsible in the execution and delivery of various projects planned to sustain mining operations and various external projects are completed safely, within an approved budget, and time frame. The role will assist the Section Superintendent in all areas of responsibilities within the section for the Business Services Department. The role will report to the Superintendent – Project Execution.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Adherence to OGPI procedures on Health and Safety having a strong commitment to  ensuring safe project execution. 
• Adherence to OGPI Contractor Management Procedures.
• Develop, manage, and lead a team of field engineers. 
• Provide oversight and administration to all projects being undertaken for the mining operations and community projects, this will include basic community infrastructure to major complex builds. 
•  Ensure all approved project construction plans are executed in accordance with specifications, schedule and budget requirements.
• Develop construction methodologies to ensure seamless execution, efficiency, provide scheduling opportunities, and properly manage risks involved in achieving target deliverables.
• Facilitate contingency measures for catch up opportunities to be able to complete projects within a specified schedule.  
• Establish and maintain engineering systems, appropriate checks and balances are in place to ensure procedural compliance and accuracy; and put in place appropriate communication tools to mitigate the risk of miscommunication, re-work, and loss.
• Maintain records of all projects under execution, providing an up-to-date database for management review. 
• Monitor the reporting of workplace incidents and hazards to ensure effective risk mitigation is maintained.
• Assist in the formulation and reviews of the document control system to ensure that applicability and effectiveness is achieved and that the quality is aligned with the OGC’s document control standard
• Timely generation of shift and weekly reports, contractor’s equipment and manpower timesheet verification, variation reports, and;  
•  Work with other departmental personnel, area owners, and end users to deliver the projects to everyone’s satisfaction. 

The Assistant Manager - HR provides visible, accessible and trusted human resources support for designated management and employees throughout the designated countries, such as recruitment, selection, induction, payroll, performance management, people and organisational development, compensation and benefits, and employee relations. Job Responsibilities:

1. Personnel, Payroll Administration

- Coordinate the business process outsourcing payroll and ensure a timely and correct payroll administration of employees and team members in designated country. Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of up to date internal descriptions of payroll administration processes. Manage local HR related audits.
- Ensure a timely and correct personnel and payroll administration of employees in APAC region.

- Implement, review & administer policies, processes and tools (related to such as insurances, pension, staff handbooks terms and conditions, annual compensation reviews and bonus processes).
- Maintain an up to date and coherent Job and Reward framework (job profiles, job levels, job titles, job families, C&B packages, variable pay programs) based on internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Support to manage ongoing employee compensation programs including annual compensation reviews, promotion cycles, salary proposals, and bonus programs in the region.
- Provide support in preparing job offers, promotions, transfers and dismissal cases.
- Ensure up to date publication of C&B policies, processes and tools on the HR Portal. Provide information sessions for managers and employees.

3. Human Resources Business Partner

- Provide support to management in recruitment, selection, induction and retention of new hires with Omron DNA within a pre-defined process, timeline and key performance indicators.
- Coordinate and support management in the performance management cycle processes across the region regarding performance development reviews, performance improvement activities, mid year reviews, personal development planning, talent reviews and succession planning.
- Support management in identifying development needs and facilitate development activities (on individual, team and organisational level).

4. Ensure and maintain all regulations of Company to keep in line with government regulations, to avoid the existence of issues that can disrupt the stability and operations of the Company and establish a positive employer-employee relationship.

5. Contribute in developing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing HR strategies, policies, processes, instruments, systems and KPI's.

6. Participate in and lead HR projects as defined in the annual HR action plans.

7. Support & deliver any other adhoc duties assigned by Manager.

- Masters or Degree in Human Resources Management.
- Understanding of and familiarity with social security legislation and labor legislation in APAC is highly advantageous.

Financial Management

• Work cross-functionally with our CSMs and Product teams to continually improve performance and drive towards increased self-service and ticket deflection.

What we expect of you, day to day.

• Coordinate the recovery of incidents by assembling a recovery team and/or collaborating with relevant SMEs and technical resources

• Personal adherence and adoption evangelism of the Incident Management Process

• Assist with process development/refinement initiatives, socialize and train colleagues (on the process) and fulfil any related internal audit obligations

• Be the co-custodian of all incident related data. Ensure data is accurately recorded to aid in the recovery efforts and for the purposes of historical analysis/MI

• Assist in developing and maintaining incident playbooks for common or anticipated incident scenarios

• Respond to reported incidents from various channels (voice, email, ITSM/alerting toolsets)

• Ensuring the impact of a given incident is fully understood as swiftly as possible and that cases are prioritized/categorized correctly and assigned to the appropriate group(s) for resolution

• Manage all (P1-P4) incidents throughout their Lifecyle and ensue they are progressed/recovered in line with any applicable SLA/OLA

• Create internal / external Incident Reports for all P1 Major Incidents

• Issue internal / external Incident communications

• Ensure Incidents are escalated into the Crisis Management function/team inline with the documented process

• Work with VOCC & POCC teams to enhance our monitoring capabilities and our triage processes with the aim of eliminating or mitigating the impact of future incident

• Assist with creating and distributing an Incident Management Performance Dashboard/Report (volume, cause, method of identification, recovery time, impact, etc.)

• Work within and contribute to the CSI (Continuous Service Improvement) framework to improve the service and/or client experience and streamline the delivery of support services

• Work closely with the problem management function to ensure our Problem resolution efforts are prioritized appropriately

• Deliver on other Incident Management related tasks and actions as stipulated by the Senior Incident Manager and the Head of Service Management

• Perform all tasks and activities in accordance with Visa Payments Limited’s policies, procedures, and contractual commitments

• To join the 24/7 on call Major incident team on a rota basis (on completion of probation and relevant training)
