Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

1.  Provides general accounting and reporting services to the regional Supply and Trading Finance organizations in Asia Pacific that may include but are not limited to:
•  Settles payables and send out invoices to 3rd party counterparties, affiliates and intercompany entities after interpreting contracts and validating important and required information against necessary documents.

•  Works with the front office and/or middle office to update and correct pricing and quantities in Trading System (SRA).
•  Enters accrual entries into SAP based on invoices or other necessary documents that are not yet received in time for the month-end close.
•  Accounts for all associated secondary costs to physical transactions.
•  Accounts for other instruments used to hedge company price in SRA and SAP.
•  Prepares forecast of cash payments and receipts reporting.
•  Performs month-end reconciliations including GL Account reconciliation, SRA-SAP reconciliation, inventory reconciliation and address Interco imbalances.
•  Reconcile strategies and providing preliminary P&L analysis.

•  Supports and provide comments for the balance sheet accounts reconciliation including trace and escalation.
•  Supports SOX controls and testing, and internal/external audit requirements.
•  Handles ad-hoc inquiries from In-country Finance, Front/Middle Office as well as counterparties (3rd Party, Affiliates or Intercompany).
 

2.  Partnering with Manila Midstream Accounting Leadership Team in delivering reliable and cost-efficient services:
•  Monitors effectiveness of applicable controls, assesses gaps, develop corrective plans, report on progress made, and results.
•  Establishes processes and procedures to ensure conformance and alignment with corporate requirements.
•  Supports internal and external financial audits; serves as a contact for internal and external auditors.  Provides guidance on financial internal control issues.
•  Assists team in executing the work plans and support its revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
 

Required Qualifications:

•  Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
•  Minimum of five (5) years overall work experience.
•  Good oral and written communication skills
•  Strong analytical, teamwork and customer engagement skills
•  Must have the propensity to work in a proactive, results-oriented, and customer-focused environment
•  Open to shifting schedule

Preferred Qualifications:
•  Experience in SAP

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

Ensures that Chevron Holdings Inc Complies with Existing Tax Rules & Regulations:

• Handles corporate annual & quarterly income tax return preparation:
• Handles output VAT computation and provides guidance in the VAT return preparation;
• Provides sound tax advice and consultation to cases requiring tax law interpretation;
• Explores tax-saving opportunities for the company through research & study;
• Updates the company of newly issued tax rules and regulations;
• Maintains and supervises tax compliance control for company operations;
• Remediates identified potential tax exposures and mitigates any tax losses;
• Assists in handling urgent invoice payments by providing tax review of transactions;

About the Role

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Handle large data processing such as data mining, cleansing, transformation, merging, aggregation, and calculation by using data processing software (i.e. DCS, SQL)
• Design, model, and generate deterministic or predictive data using Prophet, SAS, Python, or R Studio.
• Using processed data, conduct investigation, provide analysis, and endorse recommendations to stakeholders
• Present and communicate modeling and data analysis results and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Become an SME of actuarial and company data and data system.
• Collaborate with Actuarial Pricing, Valuation, Modelling, Reinsurance, Corporate Solution teams.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor’s degree related to math/statistics with good scholastic records

  • Affiliate of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines
  • Almost Associate of Life Management Institute (LOMA)
• Skills:
  • Experience in manipulating data sets, designing, building actuarial and/or predictive models, and is familiar with the following software/tools:
    • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, SAS etc.) to transform data and draw insights from large data sets.
    • Knowledge and exposure in actuarial software especially Prophet and DCS (or equivalent).
    • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: Power BI, SAS VA etc.
    • Automation solution such as Powershell and UiPath
  • Knowledgeable in IFRS and PFRS insurance accounting and reporting standards is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey in easy to understand terms the results and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Comfortable to navigate and willing to work on ambiguous situations.
