In this role you will be primarily responsible for assisting implementation and ongoing monitoring of adherence with compliance controls associated with the regulatory compliance obligations of Visa Payment Limited. Primary focus is on (but not limited to) Payment Services Regulations, Wire Transfer Regulations, Bribery Act, Criminal Finances Act and their application.

• Testing controls that are being performed by wider business first line teams as well as compliance teams.

• Audit travel and expense liquidation in accordance with existing rules and regulations.
• Process prepayments and follow up on prepaid invoices.
• Handle supplier statements and vendor inquiries.
• Provide support and assistance to colleagues with respect to accounting information
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding outstanding P2P inquiries (e.g. invoices, payments, travel, and expenses audit responses).
• Follow up on match exceptions and coordinate with Business and Procurement for the resolution.
• Work closely with R2R team in ensuring that no AP transactions are outstanding in the bank reconciliation.
• Follow up on transactions on the long-outstanding items in the Accounts Payables Trial Balance (Ageing)
• Follow up on open Purchase Orders and invoices on hold
• Prepare and review accruals and any other month end P2P transactions
• Assist in AP Subledger close and other month end activities
• Ensure monthly checklists are completed signed off by P2P Specialist/P2P Supervisor

• Preparation and posting of journal entries (including mass allocation) for the designated SGS Affiliates
• Managing bank statements and related GL reconciliations
• Maintaining Inventory and Fixed Asset modules and related entries in these accounts
• Performing postings/analysis/reconciliations on intercompany transactions and related supporting documentation
• Cost allocation
• Performing regular analyses of the account variances
• Performing additional tasks on request of senior colleagues
• Complying with Month End closing requirements and deadlines
• Ensuring there are no outstanding transactions that are not completed before closing
• Ensuring monthly checklists are completed without exception
• Preparation of periodic and ad hoc reports as requested by management
• Following adequate rules, policies, procedures and instructions

• Ensures correct and timely Certificate of Conformity (CoC) issuance in relation to the productivity and quality targets of the Certification Center.
• Assess product and/or exporter risk levels, identification of product essential requirements and applicable standards following the Business Rules on conformity assessment, classification, import eligibility and process flows, Conformity Assessment Instructions (CAIs), and other related references.
• Provides quality and technically-based opinion on product standards and product classification and certification.
• Assists in the resolution of standards, classification and certification cases and other requests and or inquiries by utilization of technical expertise on specific goods or commodity

• Ensure correct and timely issuance of the report to be used by the importer in releasing the goods at Customs to facilitate trade transaction.
• Assess product and/or exporter risk levels, identification of product essential requirements and following the Business Rules on Import Verification Program (IVP), Harmonized System (HS) classification, import eligibility, country instructions and other related references.
• Provide technically appropriate product classification following the HS code system by using all available references submitted by the parties involved.
• Evaluate transactions and provides valuation opinion based on valuation methodologies to confirm the correctness of prices being declared by the trade parties.
• Assist in providing reports that shall be used at the country of destination.
• Liaise with Trade, Valuation, and Inspection Centres to get additional information required during processing of files.
