PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The R2R Analyst is responsible for providing business unit general accounting and internal control support, including preparation and posting of journal entries, maintenance of balance sheet accounts, completion of the month end closing transactions/procedures and ensuring that the general ledger account balances and trial balances are appropriately reconciled.
She/he is responsible for completeness, accuracy and timeliness of operations in the general ledger, inventory, fixed asset and intercompany accounts, as well as treasury transactions and bank reconciliations.
Moreover, he/she takes part in accountsā analysis and supports senior colleagues in carrying out responsibilities of the accounting department, contacts client in ordnd er to resolve accounting queries and cooperates with auditors.
He/she follows Desktop Procedures and adequate policies and guidelines in place and seeks for improvements.
Performance should meet the requirements defined in the SLA/KPIās applicable for the role.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation and posting of journal entries (including mass allocation) for the designated SGS Affiliates
- Managing bank statements and related GL reconciliations
- Maintaining Inventory and Fixed Asset modules and related entries in these accounts
- Performing postings/analysis/reconciliations on intercompany transactions and related supporting documentation
- Cost allocation
- Performing regular analyses of the account variances
- Performing additional tasks on request of senior colleagues
- Complying with Month End closing requirements and deadlines
- Ensuring there are no outstanding transactions that are not completed before closing
- Ensuring monthly checklists are completed without exception
- Preparation of periodic and ad hoc reports as requested by management
- Following adequate rules, policies, procedures and instructions
