This is an office-based position in central Cebu City. 

Earn a salary package of up to PHP85,000 and a generous HMO for you and one dependent from Day One. 

ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are seeking an ACCOUNTANT WITH AUSTRALIAN TAX who specialises in Australian Tax. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our Australian clients' tax requirements. You will work closely with the Australian team to ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and regulations. Your great work will contribute to minimising delays, reducing costs, and improving overall efficiency, which can contribute to the success and profitability of the business. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Master BAS and IAS: Showcase your expertise by preparing and reconciling Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) for our valued clients. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure accurate financial reporting. 
• Shape Financial Success: Be a key contributor to our clients' financial journeys by completing annual tax returns and financial accounts for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, trusts, and companies. Your expertise will play a crucial role in their financial success. 
• Stay Ahead of Compliance: Demonstrate your knowledge and commitment to excellence by ensuring full compliance with Australian taxation laws and regulations. You will actively stay up-to-date with the latest changes to provide our clients with accurate and reliable advice. 
• Year-End Excellence: Assist clients with year-end tax reporting and financial statements. Your contributions will be instrumental in providing a seamless and efficient year-end process.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar. 
• At least two (2) years in a similar role, preferably with an Australian small to mid-size company. 

• Knowledge of XERO is preferred, but other similar cloud-based applications are considered. 
• Professional qualifications such as CPA or CA is preferred. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly MS Excel, is a must. 
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage time effectively. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
• Strong sense of accountability and reliability to produce quality output aligned with regulatory and internal processes. 
• Excellent verbal and written English and interpersonal skills to interact with team members effectively.

The Junior Reinsurance Accountant will assume responsibility for supporting the Operations department.

• Triaging of Operations inbox
• Chasing of QS bordereaux accounts
• Chasing of accounts receivable
• Allocation of cash receipts. Liaising with brokers on missing cash information
• Liaise with brokers and underwriters regarding queries, outstanding receivables and premium adjustments
• Other projects and/or tasks as required including helping with implementation of workflow

We are looking for a trustworthy Accountant to manage all our financial transactions, from fixed
and variable expenses to budgets and bank deposits. He/she is expected to work with huge
amounts of numerical data, manage multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide complete reports
to the management. He/she must have a good grip on accounting, financial regulations, strong
computer skills, and written communication skills.

Job Summary

• To provide and ensure the timely and high-quality service and deliverables to the clients allocated to you on a regular basis.
• Concentrates on creating collaborative relationships and delivering consistent results by planning and prioritizing to meet work commitments. Expected to perform review of core processes, complex ad hoc work and all other client requirements. Provides consistent feedback on accuracy and timeliness of outputs made by the Accountants and Jr. Accountants
• This entails assisting in the review and/or preparation of all reporting requirements, such as but not limited to COSMOS reports,  client management reports, and ad-hoc client deliverables. 
• To facilitate and assist in various accounting and administration processes and conduct all work in accordance with IQ-EQ Philippines Inc.'s policies and procedures.

Core Responsibilities

• Responsible for the review of COSMOS and other reports and other ad-hoc service requests for clients
• Responsible for the preparation of complex reporting requirements, when necessary.
• Manages and ensures the timely and accurate deliverables of Accountants and Junior Accountants.
• Acquire knowledge and become SME's of designated clients' requirements and deliverables.
• Ensures and champions compliance by following procedures and checklists following SSAE and other similar statutory requirements.
• Proactively seeks adequate training, feedback and support in both technical and non-technical aspects of the role.
• Assist in the development of the technical competencies of Accountants and Junior Accountants through providing feedback on their deliverables.
• To be able to effectively communicate and relate with the various stakeholders of the team.
• Submits client requirements after thoroughly being reviewed.
