Work Hours (MNL): 1 AM - 9 PM MNL | Mon - Fri
Holidays: 10 days of Public Holidays (based on the Philippine Public Holiday calendar) 8 days of Special Non-Working Holidays (based on the Philippine Public Holiday calendar)
Pay Range: $800 - $1500/month (depending on interview assessment and client's approval) Please take note that pay will be given in USD

We are searching for an exceptional Technical Editor who shares our values to join our
team, supporting our Project Managers and Marketing Director with a wide variety of deliverables
ranging from memoranda and complex multi-chapter technical reports to marketing materials and
proposals.
The company specializes in a variety of environmental planning, studies, and compliance tasks for
infrastructure, conservation, and restoration projects throughout California. Our clients include local, state, and federal government agencies, local resource conservation and open space districts, utilities, mining and aggregates companies, and many more. Our dedicated team of more than 50 biologists, arborists, and botanists work alongside agencies, clients, and crews to determine the most appropriate measures, permitting, and CEQA/NEPA compliance avenues to implement to support natural resource protection during project implementation.

The Technical Editor plays a critical role in The company's foundational company initiative of ensuring that all our deliverables are clear, concise, and fully demonstrative of our high standards for quality, as well as scientific and technical excellence. Working closely with our staff at all levels, you will enhance our team by:
• Proof-reading, editing, and formatting a range of documents for clarity, consistency, grammar, organization, correctness, completeness, and conformity with The company or client style guidelines (including text, tables, graphics, and appendices)
• Assisting with maintenance of and quality control for internal content management systems
• Working rapidly under tight and competing deadlines while maintaining a high standard of
quality
• Communicating efficiently and effectively with Project Managers and authors to resolve content questions, accommodate scheduling changes, and meet deadlines
• Recommending revisions or changes in approach, organization, structure, or flow of documents, as appropriate
• Providing meaningful feedback to document authors and management staff to improve
processes and deliverables
• Assisting with development of document templates in MS Word
• Creating, combining, and manipulating complex PDFs in Adobe Acrobat
• Maintaining our deliverables tracking system and meeting with Project Managers regularly to review, update, and plan deliverables schedule
• Developing and reinforcing a company style guide
• Reinforcing internal quality control procedures and protocols
• Developing and facilitating staff trainings for topics including MS Word formatting, writing, and The company style
• Drafting and/or reviewing emails to staff, clients, and partners on behalf of Project Managers
• Facilitating regular resume updates with staff
• Drafting project descriptions based on available project information and facilitating review
processes
• Reviewing and providing suggestions for improvement of marketing content

Minimum Requirements:
WE’RE EXCITED ABOUT YOU BECAUSE YOU…
Have these minimum qualifications and knowledge or similar transferable skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, English, communications, journalism, or relate discipline, plus 5 years of relevant editing experience (or master’s degree in those fields plus 1 year of relevant experience)
- Superior command of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and composition
- In-depth knowledge of MS Word, including mastery of track changes, styles, formatting, and template functions
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Knowledge of standard writing styles and style guides (AP, CMOS, CSE, or similar)
- Proficiency in Windows 10, MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to balance changing priorities in a fast-paced evironment
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, solve problems, and effectively communicate with multiple project team members
- Environmental consulting or adjacent industry experience preferredÂ
