Job Title: React Native Developer
Salary Range: $1200 - $2500
Schedule: UK time start at 7am or 8am and have some overlap (not straight 8 hours)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled React Native Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of a mobile app for our website. As a React Native Developer, you will play a key role in translating our website's quiz functionality into an engaging and seamless mobile app experience for both iOS and Android platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop a mobile app version of the existing quiz functionality on quizgecko.com.
- Ensure a smooth and responsive user experience across both iOS and Android platforms.
- Work closely with the web development team to understand the current quiz structure and features.
- Collaborate with designers and other stakeholders to implement a visually appealing and user-friendly mobile app.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Optimize app performance for speed and responsiveness.
- Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve any bugs or issues.
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the app meets quality standards.
- Document the development process, code, and any necessary project-related information.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in full-stack React Native development, specifically for iOS.
- A portfolio demonstrating experience with React Native applications, including those requiring web view integrations.
- A good eye for design, since we are a small team with no designer. You'll need to borrow the styling from our web app.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
- Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools.
- Strong understanding of iOS design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Scrappy and flexible work ethic with a startup mentality.
- Ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments.
- Proven experience working in a remote environment across different time zones.
- Experience integrating React Native apps with Laravel-based backend systems for authentication purposes.
- Someone with Laravel experience as well, since we are a small team you might be required to work directly on the Laravel backend or implement non-mobile app features when there isn't much work to be done on the app.
