• Check the accuracy of invoices
• Input and code invoices to the cost center
• Schedule pay runs based on standard company payment terms
• Responding to all vendor inquiries regarding finance
• Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
• Paying employees by verifying expense reports and preparing paychecks
• Send invoices to the appropriate Manager for payment approval
• First point of contact with Debtors chasing payment of invoices
• Verify and process employee expense claims and manage the approval and payment process
• Perform reconciliations including supplier statement reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and more
• Protect businesses against unintentional overpayment
• Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
• Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Maintaining historical records
• Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
• Continuing to improve the payment process
• Provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization • Any ad hoc office duties as directed by the Finance Controller
Primary Responsibilities
• Paying accounts, Basic bookkeeping and reconciliation of accounts
• Assisting the Accounts Team when required
Key Internal Relationships
• Reports to Finance Controller
• If unable to report directly to their Manager, State Manager
• If pay related, Payroll Administrator
• If HR related, Talent & Culture Specialist
- At least 3-5 years experience in Accounts Payable
- General Accounting background
- Knowledgeable in Accounting Software
- Knowledgeable in MS Excel and MS Word especially in Xero
- Consistent, accurate, and keen to detail
- Willing to work with hybrid set-up with morning schedule (6AM-3PM)
