Due to rapid growth in the past 18 months, the Finance team is looking to improve its management reporting,
insights and analysis. In order to provide this reporting and analysis there is work to do with improving our
legacy gift cards transaction data, payment processing and loyalty points data.
This role is tasked with creating and improving timely management reporting on a per customer basis will lead
to management being able to make more efficient and effective decision making.
As a growing small business this role will be required to take on a broad range of tasks to support the Finance
team and has the opportunity to grow with the international expansion of the business.
Role and Responsibilities
- Preparation of accurate, timely and monthly management reports at a customer level and analysing performance to provide recommendations.
- Improve the quality of data and understanding of gift card and payment processing margins for management reporting.
- Create reporting for customer & product insights and business partnering with the relevant stakeholders to best produce these reports.
- Post month-end transactions into the Xero accounting system to meet financial standards and improve reporting consistency.
- Leading the budgeting and forecasting process within Finance.
- Undertaking financial analysis of past, present and expected operations in order to create financial KPI metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Reconcile transactions from our new financial services products and work with the team to largely automate the reporting of these processes.
- Reviewing and reconciling key balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare aged debtor reporting and assist with collections.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legislative requirements.
- Assisting in external audits and ensuring audit actions are addressed.
- Work with the Finance team to understand each other’s role and to help out when it is required.
- Drive new projects for improvement in a rapidly growing business.
- Respond to queries as required.
We are searching for a highly experienced and self-motivated person with strong system, analytical and
attention to detail skills. Your ability to proactively investigate problems and present practical and compliant
accounting solutions will see you succeed in this role, as will your ability to communicate effectively and build
strong working relationships. Additionally, you will have:
● Completed or currently studying a CA/CPA
● Experience in a financial/accounting role in financial services, loyalty products or information technology.
● Strong financial modelling and analysis skills.
● Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SQL and AWS Quicksight reporting.
● Skills and experience using Xero accounting software (desired).
