The Drafter will be working closely with the design team to produce conceptual and detailed design drawings, plans and documentation related to Fields of Play facilities and surfaces. The Drafter is building a strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and uses this as the basis for producing high quality designs which meet the clients brief. The primary purpose of the role is to work within the design team to achieve project outcomes utilising internal resources.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to develop plans and produce detailed design documentation
- Coordinate the collection of design information with the design team during the project
- Participate in the investigation of the design of the project to ensure the design produced represents the stakeholders brief across existing areas and future developments
- Advise team members of any potential risks or areas of improvement
- Produce the conceptual perspectives to team members to be reviewed and presented to clients
- Utilise AutoCAD to create detailed designs to meet the clients brief and satisfy the project objective
- Assist in the production of accurate contract documentation
- Assist in the production of drawings for the construction phase
- Adhere to the company code of conduct
- The Drafter will report directly to the Design Team Leader and work in collaboration with the operations team across allclient state offices.
- Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering, Drafting or related field
- 3 to 5 years experience in detailed design or other complimentary fields of expertise
- Experience in drafting sports fields (e.g. Golf, football, baseball fields, etc.)
- Knowledge of technical specifications
- Proficient in design software AutoCad and MS Office Suite
- Experience in Australian or other international projects is preferred.
