OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Occupational Health Nurse – Emergency Response Team (Reliever) on a Fixed Term employment (3 to 6 months) to response safely and effectively in all emergency response call by following response procedures and safety protocols and will report to the Supervisor – Health and Safety (Emergency Response Team).
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Emergency Response Team (ERT) Superintendent and ERT Captain in developing and implementing Emergency Response and Management Plans, Procedures and Programs
- Ensure that all members including own self are physically and mentally fit to respond in any foreseeable emergencies and disasters
- Collaborate with ERT trainers in the professional delivery of site mandatory trainings and external training requests
- Assist and collaborate with relevant external emergency response offices and organizations during emergency and disaster
- Deliver emergency preparedness and response objectives and targets safely and efficiently onsite and offsite
- Participate in the compliance of Didipio Mine in relation to health and safety
- Assist the ERT captain in ensuring timely and effective completion of tasks, objectives, and targets
- Collaborate and support health team during emergency medical management and transport
- Provide physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations
- Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and hospital or regulatory standards
- Document patient care services rendered by charting in patient chart, filing or reviewing medical records in lined with patient confidential rights
- Maintaining ERT Medical supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level
- Ensuring health and wellbeing of other ERT members by taking vital signs prior to any skills exercise and fitness tests
- Assist in implementing a system of inspection to detect all hazards of operation and report or inform all concerned of all safety and health hazards that may endanger the latter’s job and operation
- Assist, prepare, and collaborate with safety function on the timely preparation and submission of the Annual Health and Safety Program to MGB
- Assist the ERT captain and deputy captain in submitting timely pre-and post-typhoon reports, and conducted drills and simulations reports to the company and governing agencies
- Ensure that all ERT inspections and documentations are submitted and filed accordingly
- Ensure the team compliance to the Integrated Management Systems
