Our goal is to reduce the noise in our business, creating efficient and low touch finance and accounting processes that streamline what we do and how our business grows. You will work closely with the Finance team and play a crucial role in providing accurate financial information, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic decision-making.
What you would be doing:
You will be involved in some, if not all, of the following tasks:
- Accounts Payable for our Philippines operations
- Financial Accounting for our Philippines operations
- Taxation compliance work
- Philippines payroll, with potential for involvement in Australian payroll
- Ensuring the quality of our data and process so that we comply with Philippine law
- Other finance and accounting tasks as required by our Head of Finance or our Finance Manager
To be successful, we are looking for someone with many of the following skills and experience:
- Certified Public Accountant with global experience will be important
- At least 5+ years previous experience working in a similar role
- Have an understanding and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- High level of financial accounting and analytical skills
- Strong personality with the confidence and ability to speak out
- Great spoken and written English skills
- Willing to work on AU shift
You will have a real advantage winning this role if you have any of the following:
- There is a high likelihood that in this role you will also be involved in our Australian operations, so experience with Australian accounting and taxation law would be valued
- We are a fast moving IT business, so any exposure to a similar business or within the technology industry will be valued
