Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
- At least 2-3 years relevant working experience for an Australian Accounting Public Practice and strong understanding of Australian tax regulations
- Proven Experience using MYOB, Qbooks and Xero
- BAS Preparation Experience
- Excellent Attention to detail and accuracy
- Possesses excellent verbal & written communication skills
Responsibilities:
Processing
- Data Entry including coding of transactions, entering general journals, invoices, credit notes, bank deposits and payments
- Utilise accounting software for day to day financial operations and reporting
Reconciliation
- Perform reconciliations within accounting softwares for bank accounts, credit cards, loans, inter-company transactions
- Reconciliation of payroll reporting including PAYG and Superannuation Contributions
Financial Reporting
- Trial Balance Reconciliation and preparation of supporting workpapers for all asset and liability accounts
- Preparation of Asset Registers
- Prepare draft financial reports including profit and loss and balance sheet reports
Compliance
- Preparation of Monthly and Quarter Business Activity Statements and understand GST and PAYG and Fuel Tax Credits calculations
- Draft of income tax returns
- Checking Clients have adhered to payroll liability requirements including superannuation, payroll tax, fringe benefits and workcover
- Perform other tasks as directed
- Managing emails and queries from internal and external stakeholders
