Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role
As a Full-Time Tekla Rebar Modeler, you'll create comprehensive reinforcement drawings and plans for concrete structures while collaborating closely with our Australian project coordination teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to develop detailed reinforcement plans.
- Collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to comprehend project requirements and limitations.
- Employ computer-aided design (CAD) software and relevant tools to produce precise and detailed rebar detailing drawings.
- Ensure strict compliance with Australian industry standards, building codes, and project specifications.
- Calculate and specify the quantity, size, and precise placement of rebar, mesh, and other reinforcement materials.
- Generate accurate material take-offs and bills of materials.
- Review and adapt drawings as required to accommodate design changes or construction-related issues.
- Collaborate effectively with the construction team to address inquiries or concerns related to reinforcement details.
- Stay informed about industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in rebar detailing.
Must-have Skills / Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as Tekla Rebar Modeler handling Australian projects.
- Must be familiar with Tekla software
- Proven track record as a Rebar/Reinforcement Detailer in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and rebar detailing software (e.g., RebarCAD, Tekla Structures).
- Strong grasp of structural engineering principles and Australian building codes. - required
