Primary Purpose:
Work closely with project team members and the business to ensure a clear understanding of business requirements and solution design
Work with IT and business and 3rd party stakeholders to implement quality and defect free changes into IT systems
Use their business, functional and system knowledge and testing industry experience and knowledge of OW standards to provide input into testing strategy.
Develops test plans and scenarios to meet the testing strategy and scope. Prepare for and executes all identified test cycles. Document testing results, and record and track defects to successful resolution. Communicate testing status.
Support business UAT testers in the completion of UAT on larger projects. On smaller projects co-ordinate and lead UAT. Work with functional and development teams to communicate and resolve defects.
Responsibilities include:
o Develop, update and maintain testing standards and procedures
o Provide testing estimates based on requirements
o Prepare Test Case Scenarios and documentation
o Prepare test data based on requirements/solution design
o Support developers and functional analysts with unit testing
o Execute test scripts for all phases of testing
o Prepare and deliver solutions training activities to business users where required
o Work with the business teams to ensure full User Acceptance testing is done prior to business sign-off for deployment.
o Keep track of any defects arising from the testing or post-go-live, prioritise defects with the business teams and work with technical teams to resolve
o Input into test reporting on larger projects. On smaller projects prepare test reporting and communicate status to stakeholders
o Work with the appropriate business and IT teams to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process
o Participate in the release control process (when application changes are transferred from build to test) to ensure that solutions meet business requirements
o Inform/escalate to appropriate team/s of any issues that may affect the schedule, budget or quality of build changes or the testing process
o Participate in the deployment and production verification process (when application changes are deployed to production and go through production verification testing and hypercare support) to ensure that solutions meet business requirements
- At least 5 years I.T. experience
- Retail industry highly recommended
- At least 3-5 years testing experience mandatory
- Solid experience with Regression Testing
- Experience with relevant Enterprise Solutions (eg SAP, Salesforce Platform including sales processes, PIM, Gains, NetTikit)
- Experience with other system tools used in testing and documentation highly desirable (eg ALM, Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint, ServiceNow, Excel)
- Experience working with 3rd party vendors and integrated environments
- Experience working cross functionally
- Experience working in Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Understanding of DevOps
Skills/Knowledge/Attributes
- Strong cross-functional testing experience
- Knowledge/understanding of Corporate Applications systems and IT architecture integration between systems

- Knowledge of Best Practice software testing standards
- Excellent knowledge in testing skills (design test plan and test strategy, writing test cases, executing test cases, opening bugs, verifying bugs)
- Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and experience working with software development projects
