LOOKING FOR FILIPINO CITIZENS BASED IN THE PHILIPPINES

Position: Furniture Designer 2

Pay Range: 1000-1400usd/month

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm EST

About the Role:

As a Furniture Designer 2, you will be responsible for developing shop drawings and 3D renderings for our manufacturing team, using Solidworks (preferred). Shop drawings will be developed via our customers’ specification packages. You will work directly with the Design Manager and ownership- while coordinating with our manufacturing team- to design, develop, and communicate FF&E items that meet our customer needs while taking into account manufacturing requirements. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Design Manager and Design Technicians by overseeing technical details on casegoods/millwork and furniture, providing recommendations for construction.
  • Produce detailed shop drawings with accurate and clear measurements, materials, finishes, & specs.
  • Support our Project Managers by tracking changes, reviewing finish samples/ fabrics.
  • Communicate with our manufacturing facilities for best practices on item construction /ensure projects are manufactured according to specs.
  • Develop assembly and installation drawings for signoff by our manufacturer and clients.
  • Understand and contribute to WH construction standards.
  • Utilize millwork expertise to communicate with clients.
  • Ability to work in a fast growing / paced work environment and communicate with interior designers/purchasing groups/ fellow industrial designers.

  • Minimum 2 years experience creating drawings for manufacturing in Solidworks. (AUTOCad an asset)
  • Ability to read, understand and develop shop drawings by interpreting specifications/technical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of millwork detailing preferred- furniture an asset.
  • Experience in luxury hospitality design preferred
  • Demonstrable ability to manage and execute on multiple projects
  • Strong analytical, creative thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to make effective decisions with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills – verbal, written, and design articulation
  • Ability to multi-task with sensitivity to deadline and time management
  • Solid understanding of design principles and aesthetics
