Job Description

The Employer Branding and Communications Expert will oversee the People Experience Communication Team’s content creation, ensuring the ideas remain faithful to the brand, brief and that it is kept within the time-frame and budget.

The Employer Branding and Communications Expert will be:

  • Collaborating with and influencing key stakeholders in order to understand their requirements, provide sound recommendations, negotiate where necessary (i.e. timelines, deliverables, etc.) and manage expectations (i.e. SLAs, restrictions, etc.);
  • Operating at a strategic level and working closely with the stakeholders and the Communications Team on the internal engagement plan in order to provide relevant, creative and engaging content that delivers according the the agreed plan;
  • Being able to design the brief so that the Communications team is able to create content efficiently;
  • Ensure the quality of the content and communications and that they align with the company’s vision and values; is firmly embedded in the employee's journey and complies with the company and Communications team’s established guidelines and
  • Managing Projects as multiple briefs can be active at any given time and at various stages of their respective plans.

The type of content that the Employer Branding and Communications Expert will oversee the creation of, in collaboration with the Communications team, include but is not limited to copy (including scripts and speeches), art (static and moving i.e. GIFs) and videos that will be used in:

  • Internal content such as: email announcements; Workplace posts; Posters; Newsletters; and Presentation Decks and
  • External Content used in: Social Media Posts (various formats); the Careers Website and partner websites (i.e. Indeed, LinkedIn and Glassdoor).

The Employer Branding and Communications Expert will be collaborating with multiple teams across the organization, notably other departments who will seek guidance on communications strategy, content creation and publishing via internal channels.

Level of Knowledge
An experienced professional in Marketing, Communication or Advertising with a good background in Communications Management and Project Management is preferred. Advertising agency experience as an Account Manager or Associate Creative Director is a plus as the role will engage with stakeholders, co-develop communication strategies and oversee a team of copywriters and graphic artists. 

Skills And Qualifications

  • Above average written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proficient in business and creative writing, and proofreading;
  • Able to work effectively at relevant levels in an organization;
  • Able to adapt in a challenging work environment;
  • Communications strategy and planning and
  • Good eye for design and copywriting quality vis-à-vis guidelines and strategy.
