We are seeking a diligent and highly motivated ACCOUNTING SUPPORT OFFICER for an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization and join our team. You will be working with an Advisory and Accounting firm based in Queensland, Australia that prides itself on delivering exceptional financial services to a diverse client base.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, Dayshift.
Office-based position in central Cebu City.
To start in February 2024.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Accounting Support Officer, you will provide comprehensive support to the Managing Director and the onshore team. You will have a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for driving efficiency and excellence within the firm. You will be instrumental in maintaining the financial integrity of both the firm and the small businesses it serves. By ensuring accurate financial records and efficient transaction processing, you will be directly contributing to the financial health and success of the firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily bookeeping tasks, including keeping accurate recording financial transactions
- Ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately reflected in cashflow statements.
- Assist in the management and reconciliation of financial records, including invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliation.
- Process payroll for a portfolio of small business clients, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and superannuation contributions.
- Assist in the accurate processing of company's payroll including fringe benefits, superannuation contributions and ATO's Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting.
- Collaborate with the advisory team to provide clients with insights on their financial data and support them in making informed business decisions.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of financial management software and systems.
- Assist in the prompt and accurate submission of financial reports to clients in compliance with accounting standards, taxation regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline and improve accounting processes and services
- Support the Managing Director and the team with ad-hoc projects, presentations and meetings.
- Liaise with clients and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting,, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in Australian accounting and taxation law.
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll regulations.
- Proficiency in using Cloud accounting software - Quickbooks, Xero and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, and exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritise tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
