Position : Software Engineer
Work Hours : 2 AM - 10 PM CST (40 hrs/5 days a week) / 4 PM - 12 AM Philippine Time
Pay Range : 1,000 - 2,500 USD / month
Our client is an e-commerce company that specializes in comedic and customisable apparel. In summary, a customer tells them what they want on a shirt and they design it. They work with a team of 100+ designers all over the globe.
They are looking for a professional Software Engineer to help in building applications for a backend database.
The goal is to create scalable and optimized software systems. The big three applications we are looking to build are in frontend to backend order flow, payment systems, and report generation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions.
- Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
- Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
- Investigates problem areas.
- Follows the software development lifecycle.
- Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
- Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
- Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- 5+ years proven working experience in software engineering
- Experience with distributed systems using microservices
- Knowledge of OOP Principles
- Preferred experience with one of the following
- Java utilizing the Spring Framework
- C# utilizing the .NET Framework
- Experience with SQL and database management
- AWS Certified
- Knowledge of building, deploying and maintaining cloud-based applications utilizing a cloud provider (preferably AWS)
- Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review
- Strong communication, documentation, and writing skills

- A computer or laptop with up-to-date software and hardware capabilities.
- Headset or headphones with a microphone for clear audio during calls.
