Eram Talent is seeking a Materials Specialist for a highly reputable client in the Oil and Energy industry. In this role, the Materials Specialist will ensure the efficient and effective utilization of materials with an ultimate goal of minimizing costs and maximizing profits.
The Job Location would be in Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels of materials, including ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing materials to support the operational needs of the organization.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure materials are available when needed to avoid operational delays.
- Analyze market trends and prices, as well as identify opportunities to reduce inventory levels, cut costs, and improve efficiencies.
- Assist in vendor selection, negotiation, and management to ensure the best pricing and quality for materials.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure materials are available at all times as per schedule.
- Evaluate and develop suppliers, identify new sources of materials, and maintain relationships with existing suppliers.
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures related to materials management and ensure they are in alignment with the organization's objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or any related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in materials management within the Oil and Energy industry.
- Knowledge of oilfield chemicals, equipment, and materials is essential.
- Relevant experience in Oil and Gas Project Management Engineering, Experience in EPC phases(engineering, material procurement, Construction management) emphasis in construction management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and people.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and ERP systems.
