Position: Finance Content Writer

Work Hours: Flexible (just at least 2-3 hours overlap with Central Time, 9:30 am-11:30 am or 4:30 pm-6:30 pm)

Type of Contract: Independent Contractor

Pay Range: 900 to 1,500 USD per month

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and highly responsive Finance Content Writer to join our team. As the Finance Content Writer, you will play a pivotal role in researching, editing, and crafting high-quality articles on various finance topics, primarily focused on saving, investing, and generating additional income for a USA-based audience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research and Content Creation:
    • Conduct in-depth research to produce top-notch articles that surpass the quality of existing content on Google for the given topic.
    • Utilize AI to generate drafts quickly, enhancing efficiency.
    • Provide examples, cite data, and maintain a high level of thoroughness in content creation.
  • Publication Output:
    • Publish a minimum of seven (7) well-researched and engaging articles per week, demonstrating a commitment to delivering a substantial amount of content consistently.
  • AI Integration:
    • Employ AI to augment writing abilities, dedicating approximately 90% of the role to research and finding examples, 5% to editing AI-generated content, and 5% to miscellaneous writing tasks.
  • Example and Data Requirements:
    • Thoroughly research and include real-world examples to support claims in articles.
    • Cite relevant data from credible sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
    • For instance, when discussing budgeting, use median household income and spending statistics from verified US sources.

  • At least 1 year of experience as a finance content writer or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of personal finance and investment topics
  • Knowledge of using different content management system, Google Workspace, Office 365 and other project management tools
  • Exceptional Writing Skills:
    • Proficient in crafting engaging and well-structured articles with a keen eye 
    • for detail.
  • AI Utilization:
    • Demonstrated the ability to effectively use AI tools for content creation, with a focus on improving efficiency and output.

Additional Information:

  • All communication will occur through Google Chat, and responsiveness is crucial for effective collaboration.
  • The position requires a commitment to producing content that outperforms existing results on Google for given topics.
  • Emphasis on finding real-world examples and citing data to substantiate claims.
