Business Development
- Develop business plans for the district that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls
- Implement a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence as aligned with marketing strategies
- Build and promote strong and long-term customer relationships through good partnerships and understanding their needs.
- Understand the needs of the company’s customers through feedback and insights and develop plans on how they can relate more to the company’s products
- Conduct market surveillance by identifying emerging markets and market shifts and being fully aware of new products in the market and status of competitors
- Analyze and track data pertaining to sales KPIs and effectively interpret trends and provide relevant insights that will help develop strategies and tactics to achieve target and ensure market growth
- Identify and communicate opportunities to management and subject matter experts for product/service development.
People Management
- Manages sales team in terms of performance and discipline
- Drive high performance in the team through managing the team and provide quality feedback on their performance and development through coaching and business reviews
- Support the sales team on their training and development by identifying competency gaps or career opportunities, coaching them and providing the resources needed to develop team members
- Hold team members accountable with clear objectives and KPIs. Ensure that they uphold to policies, procedures and company standards every time
- Communicate company directions and strategies consistently and accurately. Engage the team by discussing about the company’s vision and its values and how the team contributes to these
- Effectively recruit talent that can contribute to the achievement of company objectives and goals. Facilitate effective onboarding process for new hires
- Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss issues, share knowledge, celebrate achievements, and provide training and direction
Sales Operations Management
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for the territories under the district and projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
- Manage profitability through the achievement of targets, pricing decisions and the development and control of budgets
- Management of sales team to hit sales targets, achieve growth and increase in market share
- Oversee the activities and performance of the sales team
- Monitor and review district’s performance through preparation of quality sales, revenue, and expense reports
- Assess current district’s processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them.
- Proper resource allocation to ensure profitability by preparing sales activity budgets and projections based on relevant information
- Monitor and approve expenses under their district in a timely manner
- Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding a product or service
