HEADLINE 

Are you an experienced Accountant with a strong background in Australian Tax? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work with our client, an Australian company, while being based in Cebu? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to excel in their careers. 

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, Dayshift. 

This is an office-based position in central Cebu City. 

Earn a salary package of up to PHP85,000 and a generous HMO for you and one dependent from Day One. 

ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are seeking an ACCOUNTANT WITH AUSTRALIAN TAX who specialises in Australian Tax. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our Australian clients' tax requirements. You will work closely with the Australian team to ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and regulations. Your great work will contribute to minimising delays, reducing costs, and improving overall efficiency, which can contribute to the success and profitability of the business. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Master BAS and IAS: Showcase your expertise by preparing and reconciling Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) for our valued clients. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure accurate financial reporting. 
  • Shape Financial Success: Be a key contributor to our clients' financial journeys by completing annual tax returns and financial accounts for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, trusts, and companies. Your expertise will play a crucial role in their financial success. 
  • Stay Ahead of Compliance: Demonstrate your knowledge and commitment to excellence by ensuring full compliance with Australian taxation laws and regulations. You will actively stay up-to-date with the latest changes to provide our clients with accurate and reliable advice. 
  • Year-End Excellence: Assist clients with year-end tax reporting and financial statements. Your contributions will be instrumental in providing a seamless and efficient year-end process. 
  • Dynamic Work Environment: Embrace the opportunity to tackle diverse tax-related duties as they arise. Your adaptability and versatility will be tested as you handle various ad hoc tax-related responsibilities. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar. 
  • At least two (2) years in a similar role, preferably with an Australian small to mid-size company. 
  • Knowledge of XERO is preferred, but other similar cloud-based applications are considered. 
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA or CA is preferred. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly MS Excel, is a must. 
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage time effectively. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong sense of accountability and reliability to produce quality output aligned with regulatory and internal processes. 
  • Excellent verbal and written English and interpersonal skills to interact with team members effectively.  
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information.
