Bookkeeper Work from Home Position

Our client is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Bookkeeper in the Philippines to join their team. The ideal candidate should have at least three years of bookkeeping experience, excellent time management skills, and proficiency in QuickBooks Online. Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory, along with the confidence to communicate with clients directly. This position will be responsible for managing the bookkeeping needs of multiple clients across various industries and will report to our company Team Leader directly.

This is a US based company, and our hours of operation are 6am - 3pm Pacific Standard Time. The candidate should be willing to work as a team with our other accountants and bookkeepers to ensure accurate and timely financial statements are delivered to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping activities of multiple clients, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Generate and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Communicate with clients regularly to ensure that all financial records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Collaborate with the clients' accountants and tax preparers to ensure that all financial statements comply with regulatory requirements and tax laws.
  • Develop and maintain effective and efficient bookkeeping processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide financial advice and analysis to clients as required and after consultation with Team Leader.
  • Provide year end closing assistance and 1099 preparation.
  • Work with other team members to hit deadlines and accomplish tasks.
  • Provide Ad-Hoc services to clients as they may arise.
  • At least three years of bookkeeping experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent knowledge of QuickBooks Online is a must.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with clients confidently and effectively.
  • Experience working with multiple industries, including but not limited to e-commerce, restaurant, advertising, entertainment and consulting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred but not required.
  • Must be a team player and willing to engage in team huddles and company zoom meetings.
  • Ability to work between the hours of 6am - 3pm Pacific Standard Time (US based company)

This is a contract position, and the Bookkeeper will be responsible for their own taxes, benefits, and other expenses. The ideal candidate should be available to work a minimum of 32-40 hours per week and be willing to work remotely. The candidate should also be willing to work on the same schedule as our team leader and other remote team members; ideal work hours are 6am - 3pm Pacific Standard Time.
