The Assistant Business Controller is responsible for all aspects of financial management, including partnership with key stakeholders, manage corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
He/she will play a crucial role in identifying and rectifying discrepancies while assisting in the establishment of effective control systems.
He/She plays an important role in supporting the achievement of the company goals and strategic decision-making process by making sure compliance with relevant laws and company rules.
Scope:
- Provide analysis and insight into financial reports to link them to company strategy. Interpret financial information to management while recommending further courses of action.
- Develop and implement effective commercial procedures to ensure that essential operational, commercial, and financial objectives are met.
- Playing key role on FP&A process and work with the MD to create immediate and future strategies for the organization’s planning, investment, and budgeting activities.
- Review past and present data as well as the organization’s projected future financial health to help management craft sound strategies for growth.
- Promote cost management initiatives and efficiencies, including but not limited to implementing and maintaining budgets, analyzing cost drivers, and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
- Working with the company financial team to manage company cashflow, enforce internal controls and policies (J-SoX, US GAAP, IFRS, OGR and local GAAP).
- Drive/support ad hoc projects and tasks such as profitability analysis of new product development, business cases, capital investments, systems implementation and projects in Finance, gross margin analytics, management reporting.

• Proven skills in process and compliance management
• Strong accounting knowledge and experiences
• Knowledge of relevant ERP systems (JD Edwards) will be an advantage

• 4 - 7 years' experience
- Proficient in the English language, both written and verbal
- Industry experience:
- IT skill and literacy: Excellent knowledge in MS office suite
- Travelling Requirements: As required
