Position: Financial Operations Manager
Salary Range: USD 1,500 – 1,750/ month
Working Schedule : 7AM - 6PM EST, with 1 hour lunch break/ 50 hours per week
Holiday: Christmas (12/25), New Years (1/1) and others with more tenure
About the company:
The client is a family-owned e-commerce business selling metal pill cases. The business was started in December 2021 and has been run by two brothers since then from Washington, DC.
Our mission is to make exceptional pill cases and provide exceptional customer service. We have committed to these principles by keeping our fulfillment operation in-house and providing white-glove service to our customers.
After 2 years - we are now selling several thousand pill cases per month and looking to expand our Philippines-based team beyond customer service.
The Finance portion of this role (75%) will involve bookkeeping, accounting, financial reporting, and inventory planning. The Operations portion of this role (25%) will involve inventory purchasing and inventory management assisting the US-based team.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary definition of this role is that you will be doing whatever the business needs most related to Operations and Finance. We are a startup and it is an all-hands-on-deck mentality. The tasks below are examples of the work that you will be expected to know already or learn very quickly.
You should be self-motivated and looking to work hard - as you will be expected to work hard, contribute, and execute without supervision to help the whole team.
You should be very organized and detail-oriented.
Finance / Accounting (75%)
- Review transactions in Quickbooks, categorize them
- build rules to auto-categorize them to increase role efficiency
- Quickbooks is expected to be fully up to date on a 1-day lag / daily basis
- Keep financial models, budgets and projections up to date
- Accessing sensitive financial data, reporting directly to CEO with daily business financial health reports
Operations (25%)
- Take current inventory numbers from Shopify, and update them in Quickbooks
- Take inventory delivery schedules and use it to update our payment schedules to suppliers
- Take payment invoice from supplier, check it against quotes, save data and documents, approve for payment
- Save all documents related to inventory purchasing
- Skills: Bookkeeping & GAAP Accounting
- Should be knowledgeable in E-commerce industry
