What you'll be doing;
1. Vendor Sourcing and Specifications Development
- Source and evaluate potential vendors.
- Develop and refine product/service specifications in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market offerings.
2. Bid Management and Bid Selection
- Manage the bidding process, ensuring transparency and fairness.
- Participate in the selection of bids based on predefined criteria.
- Provide detailed analysis and recommendations on bid selections.
3. Contract Assistance and Documentation
- Assist in drafting and reviewing procurement contracts.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate procurement documentation.
- Ensure all procurement activities are well-documented and compliant.
4. Delivery Coordination and Payment Processing
- Coordinate the delivery schedule of goods and services.
- Work closely with finance for timely payment processing.
- Ensure alignment between delivery timelines and project schedules.
5. Delivery Quality Control
- Conduct quality checks upon delivery.
- Ensure delivered goods/services meet specified standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers to address any quality issues
- Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Economics, or a related field
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a closely related field.
- Experience in a dynamic business environment, particularly in a startup setting, will be highly regarded.
- Proficiency in procurement software or ERP software will be prioritized but not required.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and procurement principles.
- Competence in market analysis and procurement strategies.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to utilize these tools for effective procurement planning and reporting.
Specialized Skills:
- Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills for securing favorable terms and cost savings.
- Vendor Management: Proven experience in evaluating, selecting, and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
- Strategic Sourcing: Skills in identifying and engaging with suppliers to meet organizational needs effectively.
- Risk Management: Capability to identify and mitigate procurement risks.
- Communication: Excellent communication abilities for effective internal collaboration and external supplier relations.
- Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Regulatory compliance: Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in the Philippines pertaining to procurement and contracts
