Inventory and Warehouse Officer

What you'll be doing;

1. Inventory Management and Control:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Implement inventory tracking systems and conduct regular audits.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure availability and optimize storage space.

2. Asset Management:

  • Oversee the lifecycle of all company assets.
  • Develop and enforce asset management policies and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and valuations of company assets.

3. Warehouse Management:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the warehouse.
  • Ensure safe and efficient storage and handling of goods.
  • Implement best practices in warehouse management to enhance efficiency.

4. Logistics and Fleet Management:

  • Coordinate the logistics of our fleet operations.
  • Oversee maintenance, scheduling, and deployment of the fleet.
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation and safety regulations.


Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred. However, candidates with degrees in other disciplines who have relevant experience in inventory and warehouse management may also be considered.
  • Additional certifications in supply chain management, logistics, or inventory control would be a plus.

Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related area.
  • Experience in a logistics or supply chain role within a similar industry would be advantageous, providing an understanding of the specific challenges and dynamics of the sector.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and software.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for efficient tracking and management of inventory.
  • Basic understanding of data analysis tools and techniques to monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and optimize stock.

Specialized Skills:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, crucial for managing diverse inventory and warehouse activities.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with different departments and external suppliers or logistics partners.
  • Knowledge of lean management principles and practices to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ability to develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
