We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Sales Representative to oversee the Southeast Asia market (excluding China) for our plastics trading business. As a key member of our team, you will focus on expanding our customer base, promoting our raw materials to plastics factories, and contributing to the growth of our business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate new leads and customers within the Southeast Asia market, including Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, and Japan.
- Prepare and send offers to customers, negotiating deals, and ensuring timely confirmation of agreements.
- Work closely with the Sales team by offering materials from our stock to customers, with a primary focus on lower-end 'scrap' and 'B grade' materials suitable for recycling and plastics factories.
- Provide a summary list of potential customers and update the team on the progress of ongoing deals.
- Utilize a laptop/computer and WhatsApp for effective communication and coordination with team members, particularly the General Manager and other Sales Representatives.
- Collaborate with suppliers by working on the sales side, focusing on material offerings and customer interactions.
- With at least 3-4 years of previous experience in sales, particularly in the plastics/polymers industry and recycling industry, is preferred but not mandatory. We are open to training a candidate with a strong willingness to learn.
- With some experience in raw commodities trade or any similar industry including but not limited to Supply Chain and Logistics, International Trade and Export/Import, Manufacturing and Production, Commodity Brokerage, Renewable Energy, Agriculture and Agribusiness, and Environmental and Carbon Trading.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to successfully handle customer interactions.
- Proven ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
