In this role you will work with cross-functional team members to help respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Information (RFIs) and manage the proposal development process to ensure on-time delivery of compelling, compliant, and well-written proposals.  This requires an in-depth understanding of the company's products and services and as such you will work closely with the product and sales teams.  You will be the company's product subject matter expert.

The position involves researching, writing, and producing a high volume of client-facing documentation on behalf of our company in support of an array of our products. This role will successfully communicate and collaborate with a variety of internal stakeholders including, Project Management, Sales, & Engineering leads and other subject matter experts, as needed - and thus, is a highly visible role. 

The Solutions Consultant should exhibit strong written and presentation skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to generate creative ideas while working both independently and collaboratively. The successful candidate is expected to be a self-starter, multitasker who works well under pressure, and follows through on tasks. We are looking for a strong team member who leads by example and keeps the team informed of changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the sales team in qualifying opportunities, documenting the solution and delivering an outcome to customers.
  • Facilitate on-site and remote product demonstrations and deliver proof of concepts.
  • Prepare responses to RFIs and RFPs - own proposal kickoffs and debrief meetings, as well as prepare detailed proposal plans, schedules, outlines, and compliance matrices for all phases of proposal development.
  • Work closely with Product, Operations, Compliance and other teams as needed to formulate responses aimed at winning new business and ensuring a consistent message is articulated throughout RFIs and RFPs.
  • Assist in building relationships with partner organizations within the AP region.
  • Solicit management reviews and approvals during proposal development
  • Lead and/or support the development and submission of winning bid responses by working with internal experts as required
  • Maintain, augment and improve library of reusable components, templates, and processes to reduce response time and improve quality on future bids
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers on site as needed.
  • Work with the product, support and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Own and manage end-to-end product launch with the clients
  • Utilise solution selling tactics, ask strong discovery questions, uncover pains & problems from customers using a range of sales methodologies
  • Work closely with Product managers and provide voice of the customers and continuously improve Zai’s product suite.
  • Generate strong relationships through events outside of your core hours such as Expo’s, MeetUps, Industry Panels, Industry influencers and key lead channels

Subject matter knowledge and experience

  • Strong technical background/knowledge with a focus on API and integration/payment gateway technologies, able to build great relationships with highly technical customers
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in relevant experience
  • Extensive experience in payments, technology, SaaS and writing winning response documents
  • Proven ability to work across organizations with effective communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Excellent writing, grammar, and spelling ability
  • Excellent presentation and written/oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a deadline-conscious, results-driven environment
  • Experience working independently within a fast-paced, high-growth & agile environment, self-driven and outcome oriented (Internet/Software companies)
  • Excellent presentation, diplomacy & negotiation skills with outstanding verbal & written communications, developing proposals & decks for customer/prospects presentations
  • Tech Stack: CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot) G-Suite, Slack, Atlassian Suite (Confluence & Jira)
